Well, work is over and my weekend officially begins. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by opening the first game thread in the new era. But here goes nothing! Although bear hunting season begins in Ontario, Canada in about a week from now, "Bear hunting" season officially begins Sunday afternoon! GO COLTS!!!

Those delayed runs aren't fooling anyone. I can see them coming, so you know the Bears do.

The offense has been a lot worse than I expected. The defense, is about what I expected.
I honestly didn't expect too much from the offense because 1) Our OL and 2) no solid #1 WR that is over 6'....and as much as I love Reggie, he can only do so much.

Plus with 2 rookie TE's and WR's, not much was expected from me.....knew it would be a long road. Just hoped that after the showing in pre-season, the offense was a lot further ahead than expected.

Defensively, we all knew we'd struggle.

About the only thing to look forward to is to see if Luck can show he can move the offense.

I guess we're playing Adams because he's the only tall receiver we have.

There's our ONLY wideout with any size at all.......which is why he's in there.

Reggie should have had that one.

Nice movement in the pocket by Luck, though.

Any dislike of Hayden was completely unjustified, and always has been.

Kind of like the revisionist history towards Marlin Jackson.

98 wasn't that bad at all, the o line improved a lot, Marshall FAulk and Marvin looked good, peyton improved. we competed in a lot of games. If we do that this year we'll all be happy.

That is all I hope for, is to be competitive. So far, we haven't been, but the season is young.

What revisionist history of Marlin Jackson? He played for us for 3 years before his career ended due to injury.

Oh i definitely agree.

I can see why we wanted to run Jennings out of here (though im still convinced coaching had a lot to do with our "bad" corners), but i thought Hayden was a pretty damn good football player.

But i think his contract had more to do with him than anything.

Anyone else still trying to make the argument he cant hit anyone because of his neck? I remember that being a big one...

Our offense already looks more potent than it did most of last year and against a decent, albeit old, defense. I see improvement. Defense looks worse, but I expect them to improve with time.
Biggest problem with Hayden and Jennings, other than their height, was taking them in the second round.
