Well, work is over and my weekend officially begins. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by opening the first game thread in the new era. But here goes nothing! Although bear hunting season begins in Ontario, Canada in about a week from now, "Bear hunting" season officially begins Sunday afternoon! GO COLTS!!!

98 wasn't that bad at all, the o line improved a lot, Marshall FAulk and Marvin looked good, peyton improved. we competed in a lot of games. If we do that this year we'll all be happy.
Our offense already looks more potent than it did most of last year and against a decent, albeit old, defense. I see improvement. Defense looks worse, but I expect them to improve with time.
Biggest problem with Hayden and Jennings, other than their height, was taking them in the second round.
Is hayden actually even that small? I know jennings is. And its just a second round pick. We dont exactly set the world on fire with them.

Well, Reggie WAS held, there's no question of that, but the refs aren't calling PAss interference today on either team, so its all good.

Andrew needed to put some air on that and put over Reggies right shoulder......of course it was a slant, not a fade.

Well, Luck has to learn. How come the colt's defense doesn't have guys like Jennings.....oh yeah....he played for the colt's. I don't remember him being that good. Maybe it is the uniform.

Actually, Hayden isn't. Was referring more to Jennings. Of course we never had either as vets because we never kept our corners or LBs.

lol kelvin hayden and tim jennings both making plays against us.

GG
Any dislike of Hayden was completely unjustified, and always has been.

Kind of like the revisionist history towards Marlin Jackson.
What revisionist history of Marlin Jackson? He played for us for 3 years before his career ended due to injury.
At least to me, I have seen quite a few people dismiss Jackson as being a good CB. Saying the only reason he was liked was because of his interception in the AFC Champ game. I've noticed a trend on here of people turning on players just because of injuries, and not giving them credit for when they weren't injured and played well.

Ya people like to act like injuries are the fault of the player.

Obviously, it comes time to go separate ways when a guy is injured so often like Sanders. But people ragged the shit out of him for it.

Even though he was a damn good safety when healthy.

I don't think there is any question at all that Jackson was a bust as a draft pick. He was a #1 pick that barely played his rookie year, then play ok for 2 years, then nothing. That isn't a good draft pick for your #1 pick. That isn't revisionist history, its the truth.

He was a bust in terms of being hurt. You cant actually say he was a bust because of his ability as a corner. I think thats what he is saying.

Cant hate a guy because his body cant handle the NFL.
Ball hit the ground. Get the fuck out of here

And? Are you actually denying anything or are you just making an off the wall comparison.

Being drunk is a choice. Being hurt is not.

Lol who gave an excuse. I never had ONE excuse for Sanders. I just said its retarded to hate a player who gets hurt a lot.

There is no excuse.

Its just calling out something stupid. Which ive done.
And another turnover....

This just needs to end lol

That isn't what I am talking about. I'm talking about people dismissing him completely as a decent CB when he did play before the injuries. Not whether or not he lived up to his draft position.

That was actually an INT......the defender caught it before it even hit the ground.....not sure why they didn't rule it an INT.

Of course, I had to freeze frame it to really see it better on my widescreen.
