Well, work is over and my weekend officially begins. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by opening the first game thread in the new era. But here goes nothing! Although bear hunting season begins in Ontario, Canada in about a week from now, "Bear hunting" season officially begins Sunday afternoon! GO COLTS!!!

Is Jennings really this good? Or is he just playing out of his mind because we are the Colts?

The funny part is that Lovie Smith is from the "Dungy tree".

My point is that just changing schemes isn't the answer. I think the Colts will do great in the 3-4 in years to come.

My point also is that I think it is wrong to compare the cover 2 under Dungy to the cover 2 under Calswell. Under Dungy it was successful. Under Caldwell it wasn't.

Well, not sure what to really think of this one. Luck was pretty much out there with no Oline and managed 300 yards and a TD. But also threw 3 INTs, 2 of which were underthrown, while one of those should have been called back anyway because of offsides.

I hope this regime has a plan for the Oline. Its sucked for far too long. I dont expect a fix this year, but soon.

Ok, as far as Caldwell and Dungy, what was the difference?

We ranked in the bottom half pretty much all the time.

Many factors rank into how shitty a defense looks. Your own offensive points, game situations, etc.

I mean if a team just needs to run the ball and is determined to do so, obviously your pass defense is going to look amazing at the end of the day, for example.

How can we expect DB's to cover all day? We have no pass rush.

I am Disappointed. I did not expect a win but I expected a more competitive game. The defense was awful after the first five minutes of the game. Luck did not look very good but it was his first game against a good defense. We have to expect that (although RG-III ripped the NO defense). At least this is better than last year's week one. You knew that team had no hope without PM. With Luck we can expect improvement with each week.

offense line as terrible. we must improve that. no pass rush after freeney left. saw some good coverage on some plays. but we have got to get a pass rush.
it does bother me that luck was not zipping his throws on the ones he had time
