Well, work is over and my weekend officially begins. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by opening the first game thread in the new era. But here goes nothing! Although bear hunting season begins in Ontario, Canada in about a week from now, "Bear hunting" season officially begins Sunday afternoon! GO COLTS!!!

Powers is kinda awful.
He's had some nice plays today.

The zone coverage here is what has killed us.
I was watching him run after Marshall. Dude was guarding backwards, making sure he didn't run backwards. -.-

Id prefer to just give it to them and try to give Luck a shot at a quick drive for a FG.

But even that scares me.

When we've played man today, I think our coverage has looked better.

Even if they over turn it, they would then accept the penalty. No way it's our ball after all of this.

Oh so THAT play is totally obvious, when he breaks the plane by about 6 inches, but the other one where he's down at the 1 was just too close to call?

I hope something changes at the half. Weve seen a few good things in the game today, but theyve gone away from every one of them for some reason.

Maybe Pagano is using this season is a guinea pig

Reminds me of another coach that he is replacing. D does good in the 1st quarter of SB, then we go away from what was working.

In part, he must do so.....we don't have enough of the pieces to the puzzle yet. The thought of us being a playoff contender by some is not very realistic. We all knew it was going to be a long, but interesting year.

We just have to pray Luck gets through it unscathed.

We looked so much better early on with the 3-4 blitz packages. We've also looked better when we've played man. Let's just do away with the zone and four to five man rush and get after the QB!

Well lets see, Freeney, McKinney, Angerer, Reitz, Ijalana, Collie and this is the first game of the season. Its hard to do anything when you're the most injured team in football every year.

Well, they were getting pressure just fine at the beginning, and I don't believe Freeney was a part of that at all, so I don't see why we aren't getting ANY pressure now.
