Kind of hard to cover receivers when theres no pressure. So Im not sure why some people have their underwear in a bunch about the DBs when they have to chase guys all over the field while brady has a snack in front of our "pass rush".
No excuse for the pass rush, but did you see our DBs flailing about as they tried to make a tackle on the reverse? You would have thought Edelman was the most athletic player to ever step on an NFL field the way they tried to get him down.
Oh well fine. Poor tackling has always been an issue.

I think I'd give Stanton a shot here...not to replace Luck, but to spare him.

I like how in the picture of all the players that shaved their heads, there is one player in the back row with dread locks past his shoulders.

I honestly feel we need upgrade at every DB position. Davis might be a stud if he can stay healthy. The rest, including Bethea, need to be replaced eventually, over the next couple of years.

I think its unfair to hang the whole 59 on the defense. The offense and special teams are on the hook for a good 28 of that. The defense is not good though.

In the second half, the defense couldn't stop anything.
In NE's defense, they can't run the ball unless it's a reverse, so they almost have to run their usual, throw, throw, throw offense until the very end. They're extremely one dimensional.

Agreed. Punt return TD, 2 Pick sixes and another turnover that resulted in a one play drive TD.
We need to field the punt then take a knee and end this.

Colts turn to take lumps today.
Redding injury concerning, as is Avery's.

Redding seems to get injured a lot during games. Avery took a pretty good shot. Hopefully he can return next week.

Knew there couldn't be any mistakes today for any chance to upset them.... that very CLEARLY didn't happen. Hope this young team can shake it off...

Today sucked. No doubt about it. I thought we could hang but I also knew it could get out of control really fast. The turnovers absolutely killed us as well as the punt return. Thats a lot of things to happen in ONE game.

Were a young team, yes the game was absolutely horrible, but im not going to lose any sleep. I didnt realistically think wed even be over 500 this year.

Yes, we play well against bad teams. Isnt that a HUGE step up from last year when even bad teams beat our asses and took our lunch money?

I don't know if that's better. According to many on this board beating the pats was more important than making the playoffs. We were actually more competitive against them last year, so maybe this isn't an improvement. Ohhhh, if only we could have Orlovsky back.

Hell ya i wanted to beat the Pats. But im not ready to start cutting entire portions of the roster because we lost to them.

Were in our FIRST season after being so shitty we got the number 1 pick. Ive been extremely guilty of forgetting that and thinking were super bowl contenders but were NOT ready to play with the contenders yet. I dont see any reason to freak out over this. I dont even think people got this pissed off and upset all of last year.

Lack of pressure on the QB is disappointing, but the Pats have always done a good job of having o-linemen that can keep Brady upright against everybody but the Giants. We'll see how they do in the coming weeks. We need one of those Wilfork guys. Hard to say what we need as far as DB's go until we can at least make the QB nervous. We need O-line and D-line first and foremost IMO.
