Current Estimated Cap Room: $43 Million

Biggest Colts' 2013 Unsigned Free Agents:

  • Austin Collie
  • Jerraud Powers

Top NFL 2013 Unsigned Free Agents:

http://nfltraderumors.co/nfltr-features2013-nfl-free-agents/

Quote:

1. Ryan Clady
2. Jairus Byrd
3. Victor Cruz (Restricted)
4. Andre Smith
5. Dwayne Bowe
6. Henry Melton
7. Greg Jennings
8. Wes Welker
9. Andy Levitre
10. Joe Flacco

Some of these guys are bound to get franchised (Clady, Smith, and Flacco for sure).
Big year for wide receivers. If we could land Bowe or Jennings, that would be monstrous.

EDIT: Just throwing this into the first post after I combined the topics. -IC45

Titans make their usual raid of the Colts by signing Moise Foukiou (sp) to a multiyear contract. Titans just can't get through an offseason w/o trying to pry away a Colts player or two.

Seahawks signed Bucs DE Michael Johnson to 1 year deal for 5 million. They picked up Johnson and Avril for a combined 20 million for 3 years. DEs are not getting paid this year.

That's because there are so many good ones in the draft.

Anyone seen ANYTHING on Freeney?

I read that Denver is waiting to see what happens with the Dumervil situation.

I remember Florio writing that Freeney's phone would lighting up on the first day of free agency. As usual, he couldn't be more wrong.

Ed Reed signs with the Texans.
Its interesting how before everyone was making the ravens connections with Pagano.

Kruger, Williams, Reed, Ellerbe none of them got big big money we couldnt match Kruger 7/8 per year, Cary got just 5.6 yet we didnt seem to be real players for them, the only one who got silly money was ellerbe.

Pagano just must not have fancied them.

Or, Grigson didn't like them. Krueger was over paid so was Ellerbie. I'm glad we didn't sign those guys to big contracts. I like the moves we've made so far. I would really like to see one more Oline addition before the draft though.

Is the Reed signing official? Not that it matters since we got Landry, but just curious

I think these signings show that Grigson is doing his job and Pagano is concentrating on his. Obviously if Pagano was big on any of these guys we'd have gone after them more, but yes, it tells me they aren't worth what they're now being paid. Of course other teams can say that about the guys we brought in, but those were mostly low risk contracts.
I see Winston Justice is still a free agent. I know it's highly unlikely, but I wonder if it wouldn't be worth it to bring him back if he can be had for cheap on another short contract. He wasn't that bad for us last year and could be a nice reserve. Guessing not, but I'd feel much better about him than many of our other options.

Per Sportrac, #Colts are about $19 million under the 2013 salary cap. Set aside rookie class and IR and they should have about $10 million.

This Elvis Dumerville thing in Denver just turned into a circus.
Also Marcus Spears signed a 2 year deal with the ravens. I know some folks were hoping we'd kick the tires on him. Willie Colon signed a 1 year deal with he jets for 1.2 mil.

More than I thought. Sorry, didn't see this before I posted a topic about the cap. That gives us enough room to sign 2 or 3 more depth/ potential starter players and still have room for rookies. Very nice...

He is giving the Ravens an opportunity to match the offer. He hasn't signed anything yet

3 years/16 million. I prefer the deal we got for Landry, personally.
Bernard Pollard signed with the Titans. That's not really a guy I want to see twice a year, honestly.
