Love seeing them beat the Heat again. Still not quite where they need to be, but getting there quickly.

You just never know what your going to get from Lance. Glad he was on last night. COuldn't have won without him and Hibbert actually looks like he was worth the contract. Odds still against them but they're putting on a pretty good show. I was shocked they called the travel on D-Punk at the end. It was, but I would never have believed they'd actually make the call and likely they won't next time. We'll see.

When Roy Hibbert received his new contract, I didn't think he was worth it and early on this season, I thought I was right, but he has definitely proved his worth in the playoffs.

This team has a hell of a core of young players. Going to be fun for a long time. Unbelievable defense.

Going to be interesting to see what happens with West and Stephenson, both free agents this off-season.

But let's hope we don't have to worry about that for another few weeks.

And at halftime of game 7 were seeing what the NBA is now. Every drive is a foul.

Pacers need a legit ball handler to distribute. Weve got guys who can score but the turnovers are ridiculous and theyre almost always a result of a bad pass.

I honestly cant take anything away from the Pacers though. No one really saw them coming and they can play some hardnosed basketball. Good, young team on the rise taking the champs right down to the brink.

And as i type this another foul is called when Lebron takes one damn step right at a defender lol

Anyway, someone needs to handle the ball and im not sure if someone on this team can do it. I love Paul George and im fine with him being the go-to, but a legit ball handler is needed. CP3 is a free agent...

Would be great to have him but I don't see any big name free agents coming to Indy. Collison would have been a better option than what we have now. Hopefully San Antonio isn't too rusty from the layoff and the Pacers have wore the Cavs down enough that San Antonio can make quick work of them. At this point, I just want Miami to lose.

So depressing to see the game so out of control. Love what they did this season, just wish the end was a little more robust.

I would at least liked to see them make it a close game in the final. They made a lot of progress and I think Hibbert and George both grew up a lot. Should bode well for the future. They could really use a true point guard and let Hill be the shooting guard. Maybe Lance could turn into a point guard with another couple years experience.

If DG comes back, it will be interesting to see the rotation.

PG - Hill? Someone new?
SG - George
SF - Granger
PF - West (lord willing)
C - Hibbert

That would put Lance to the bench, but doesn't address the point guard situation. If you bring in an actual point guard, do you sit Hill? Do you play Hill at the 2 and move George to the 3 and bench Danny? I backup backcourt of Hill and Lance would be pretty freaking stout, and Lance/Granger isn't too bad, either.

If we aren't able to get a new starter at point guard, DJ Augustin has got to go. As much as I want to be a UT fanboy, that dude is turrible.

Id say use Granger as trade bait for a true point guard.

I'd go as far as to say Granger will be gone. Hopefully, we get a decent pickup for him. A great outside shooter would be a real plus. Here is the question regarding West and Stephenson, which is more criticial to bring back? Easy to say West, but he's older. Stephenson has a lot of potential. Also the potential to do something really stupid off the court, again.
Just noticed, but Stephenson doesn't become a free agent until next year. He and George will both be up for new contracts. That's why I think they need to move Granger, to give them more money to play with.

Yeah, Lance was a team option.

Granger is a free agent after this year, so no need to move him for George/Lance.

Move him to get some value for him, if you can.

I dunno. He's supposed to be 100%, and he's going to be playing for a contract on another team. Definitely wouldn't move him until the trade deadline.

Could wait until the trade deadline, but that will require Granger to be a contributor that won't take away from George. I'm not that optimistic that we'll get much for him, honestly. He's an above average player, now 30, whose best years are probably behind him.

Also, it sounds like we might be hunt for Bledsoe, the same guy the Celtics are rumored to be after. Clippers are allegedly involved in some real head scratcher trade scenarios right now.

I'd be ok with this. Though then we have a problem of which back-up PG is going to be the back-up.

The only thing I learned tonight is that the Mad Ants better win a championship with all the talent we will be sending their way.

I'm no GM and can't say that I keep up on all of the college talent, but one of things the Pacers are missing is someone who can consistently hit an outside jump shot. If everything the analysts on TV was saying is correct, the next 2 guys taken after the Pacers pick could both probably fill that role. The only thing that would make any sense at all to me with the Pacers pick is that they are preparing for the imminent departure of Danny Granger.

There are a lot of shooters on the market this off-season, so I could see them thinking they are going to pursue someone like JJ Reddick and/or Kyle Korver come July 1.

They're reportedly signing CJ Watson as their new backup PG. That's a nice improvement. Also read they have interest in Copeland from the Knicks and Allen from the Grizzilies.

I was also surprised to see that they signed Jonny Flynn to the Summer League team. Flynn went in the Top 10 a few years ago. I'd love to have him as the 3rd PG.

Pacers were reportedly interested in trading the no. 10 for him in 2010. Glad that didn't happen since we ended up drafting George with that pick.

Crazy how things turn out.
