Let's start it now. Have a feeling it could be a classic, but I'd be very happy with a dull/easy Colts victory.

There will be no miracle tonight but the ride was good. Let's hope the Colts make some changes to the O-line and defense
We need three things on defense. A stud DL(preferably a DT), MLB, and S. I doubt Bethea is back simply because he and Landry are basically the same player, and Landry is this regime's guy. If we get that we will have a top 10 D next year. We have good players to fill in next to great players, we just don't have any great players outside of Mathis, and sometimes Davis.

Bethea and Landry aren't the same guy. Landry is the same guy as Bob Sanders, not Bethea. Bethea is a free safety.
Turning this off. Spare me the Patriots love.

What I mean by that is both of their strengths is run defense.

I haven't been impressed with Landry this season and Bethea is getting long in the tooth.

They're like everyone else on this defense. They're okay, but we need some studs.

This offense, for as young and short on big names as it is, can win us games with an average NFL defense. We're not an average NFL defense. Even our best defensive players are average at best - Landry, Bethea, Freeman - they're slightly above average on their best days.

I agree, Bethea still probably has a couple good years, not really sure how Landry went to the Pro Bowl if this is how he has always played.

That's what I find hilarious about Irsay's BS about changing the mindset. Great idea, but you didn't. You brought in another defensive minded coach who is too damn conservative and whose defenses fold in big games (at least Dungy's teams didn't fall behind by 14 points to start every game). You've setup an offense that has a worthless offensive line and relies entirely on your QB's talent. Same old shit!

Getting Wayne, Allen, Ballard back next year. Throw in Thomas.
Let get a new center and RG. Thought we needed another WR, thought that was #2 need
Might be that some defense players are the #2 need

Probably the same way Bethea did, as an alternate. I don't know. Both are overrated.

Also, at least under Dungy, even though the defense sucked most of the time, they also tended to come up with clutch plays (mostly thanks to Freeney and Mathis).

Over the course of his career Bethea has been good, and about as consistent of a player as you can get. Not really a pro bowler, but solidly just below. This year is really the first year that he has struggled at times.

We have a few pieces to work with on D, but need players who show more consistency. Bethea and Freeman are good examples. I'd still like to keep Bethea, but not at the expense of a long term contract. The first off-season move needs to be a replacement for Satele.

I can't remember the last time we played an entire season with a really strong offensive line.

I know people hate Satele but put two solid guards on either side of him and I think this offensive line can be considerably better, even with him at center. Your center is never going to make or break your offensive line. Like our defense we need a pro bowler, or pro bowl caliber player, or two, on the O-line, especially if we're going to try to be a power run team and aren't going to give Andrew more weapons at WR.

Wish y'all would read Colts Authority. It breaks down the offense line every week.
Last week it said Satele had his best game
But the rest of games he was terrible. McGlynn is terrible as well
The stories break it down

No need to break it down. It's pretty apparent just watching the games.

Not making any excuses for the poor defensive play, but the game turned on the absolute BS pass interference call on Gordy.

I do think satele is the problem, when he is out and McGlynn was at center the line was way stronger and made the difference in beating S.F. and I forget the other teams. Last night satele just got run over quite a few times and luck almost got annihalated on one play.

I don't want to start any shit here, but I have repatedly muttered about this very thing. This was NOT a good offseason for Grigson. Period. Add the Richardson trade in there, and can you say disastrous? To top it all off, this is supposed to be an absoulte bumper crop of Collegians declaring. Vomit.
The inability to run the ball with any effectiveness, was most distressing. We're talking about a team that was missing Wilfolk, Spikes and Mayo. So on 2nd. and 1, there we were, throwing the ball...while on the other side, Brady was playing in a rocking chair most of the night. And must Andrew constantly be chained to a static pocket, all too often? Even Peyton was using some rollouts. Cheese.
