CONSTITUTION OF THE CONFEDERATE UNION

PREAMBLE
We, the people of the Confederate Union, in convention assembled, do declare and ordain, and it is hereby declared and ordained, that the Constitution passed by us in this convention on the 4th day of March, in the year two thousand and thirteen, shall become law.

We do further declare and ordain, that the Confederate Union hereby resumes all rights and powers heretofore delegated to the Government, and is in full possession and exercise of all rights of sovereignty which appertain to a free and independent State.

We do further declare and ordain, that all rights acquired and vested under the Constitution of the Confederate Union, or any other treaty, law, ordinance, or directive, shall remain in force and have the same effect as this Constitution.

ARTICLE I.
Section 1.
All legislative powers shall be vested into a unicameral body of Congress known as the House of Representatives.

Section 2.
The House shall have the authority to introduce, debate, and vote on legislative bills, and passing them onward to become law in accordance with this Constitution. All bills must pass with a majority vote of 51% or higher in the House in order to pass. If a bill is vetoed and sent back to the House, it must then pass with 75% majority vote in order to become law, or is not vetoed or signed within five days.

They may also have the authority to declare war, impeach political officers (including fellow representatives), make treaties with other regions and independent states, and confirm executive offices upon creation from the President.

Section 3.
No person shall be denied eligibility for Representative unless they are convicted of a criminal offense, are not a citizen of the region, or do not have a valid claim to land on the regional map.

Section 4.
Representatives shall serve sixty day terms in office, and shall have no term limits. Each sixty day term served in the house shall be known as a Congressional Session. Each Congressional Session shall commence on the following dates.

January 1st, March 1st, May 1st, July 1st, September 1st, November 1st.

In order to participate in the next session, Representatives must register where necessary to be included in the roster.

Section 5.
Representatives who are inactive for five consecutive days without prior notice shall be automatically removed from office, and may not participate until the next Congressional Session.

Section 6.
The House of Representatives will elect a Speaker of the House for each Congressional Session. It is the duty of the Speaker to assure the House remains active, deliver bills to the President for signature or veto, and advocate for the House where necessary.

ARTICLE II.
Section 1.
The executive body of the Confederate Union shall be vested upon a President. The President shall be the Head of State for the Confederate Union.

Section 2.
The President shall have the power to establish executive departments and appoint officers known as secretaries for the departments, veto bills or sign them into law. The President may also issue executive directives, manage the state's militia forces as Commander-in-Chief, and appoint judges to the courts.

Section 3.
No person shall be denied the Office of President unless they are a convicted criminal, do not have a valid land claim, or are not a citizen of the state.

Section 4.
The President shall serve sixty day terms, and may only serve three consecutive terms before having a mandatory one term "sit out" before being eligible for office again.

Elections for the Office of President shall take place on the following dates:

January 15th, March 15th, May 15, July 15, September 15th, November 15th.

The President-elect shall assume office on the 16th of each aforementioned month.

The judicial branch of the government shall be invested upon a court, known as the Supreme Court.

Section 2.
The Supreme Court shall be overseen by a Chief Justice. The Chief Justice shall oversee all impeachments and criminal cases, provide judicial review, and rule on constitutional law. The Chief Justice may appoint two Associate Justices, who may provide judicial review, and try civil cases.

Section 3.
The Chief Justice is appointed by the President and confirmed by the House of Representatives.

Section 4.
An Attorney General, who is also appointed by the President and confirmed by the House, serves as the region's leading prosecutor for crimes against the region or violation of state law. The Attorney General, in conjunction with the Chief Justice, shall establish and maintain a Criminal Code.
