I believe that You Talk Sports is a great idea and has the definition of something to succeed. I believe that with dedication and a good work ethic, You Talk Sports will be a force to contend with. Generally, sports talk boards appeal to the masses so recruiting may be easier for your type of board compared to a forum resource board, or a general discussion forum. I believe You Talk Sports is far past the creation stage and is almost ready to nudge into the revision and enhancement stage(s). With work, comes results and I can already tell you, in order to be a largely populated and respected Sports Discussion Board, intense advertising and services will be a necessity. Once people realize that they can visit You Talk Sports and find interesting and intriguing discussions & services, they'll tell their friends about it and encourage them to join. Once they verify what their friend told them, a chain reaction occurs. As I said above, I truly believe this board has what it takes to be a successful Sports Discussion Board.

The activity and growth is impressive for a 4-day-old board. Up until this post, You Talk Sports has acquired almost 26 new members per day and almost 210 posts a day. What really impresses me is that the total post count isn't distributed between the two Admins and the two Moderators. Usually, the post count is largely made up of the staff in a new board, which should partly prove what I explained about being appealing to the masses. It seems that the members already like what they see and are willing to host & participate in discussions at generally any area. One very good stat I'd like to point out in particular is that you only have 24 members with 0 posts. This is good in the respect that the staff seem to give the members interesting and/or intriguing material to discuss. Good job thus far in the activity and growth department. Keep up the advertising methods and begin to implement ads at large websites and forums that pertain to Sports. Another recommendation is to make efforts to contribute more than one-line-posts found in different areas of the board. Explain your posts, opinions, and reasons - it makes for more activity. :P

The overall layout and organization is great and seems to work greatly. Each forum and category gives a new item to discuss and debate. My only recommendation for the layout is to add a forum in the 'YTS Member's Lounge' for Sports Art. You could probably do well with a photography section, and a general Sports Graphic section. I don't guarantee these will work but they're worth a shot, and if they don't seem to help, at least you'll know for the future.
The graphical side of the board is not the greatest nor the worst aspect of it. If the current skin is the one you'll be using, I strongly recommend changing the background color and centering the forums. I admire the banner, I would do much of anything to it or the banner area. Your members seem to enjoy the skin so in this case, I say keep it! In a different circumstance, I would recommend getting the new skin you mentioned, whatever it may be, in "Johnny"'s introduction topic.

Well, to say the least, I enjoyed this review! The main reason for my relatively low scores are the symptoms of being a new board. By your next review, I can assure you, your overall score should raise at least 4 points. Until next time, have fun, and don't do anything I wouldn't do! :P
