Do the ghosts have to get a hang of their ghostly abilities?

(SPOILERS)

One curiosity in the game that I noticed is that you don't exactly run into your dead friends after they've bit the big one a whole lot, whereas you run into tons and tons of other blue or red ghosts along the way who are perfectly capable of speaking to you. The most of you get out of Seiko and Mayu is communicate via phones for the most part, and Shiggy-bro never appears after he's committed suicide. Miss Yui dies so late in the game that she has some excuse.

So I'm wondering if making oneself visible as at least a flame and actually being able to speak is something that the ghosts have to learn.

I'd like to think so.
Since most of the spirits the player encounters throughout the game are near corpses that are either half-decomposed or just bones.
Morishige wasn't dead long enough to be able to appear and the Byakudan students were dead just long enough to mutter as an echo "Ki..za..mi".

And to think... The ghost children were dead for thirty years and they can take an ethereal form and are able to look human.
Also, Sa-Chan and Yoshie were dead for fifty years and they can take a full physical form.

All in all, I think that's how it works.
(If anyone else can chime in... That would be appreciated)

I think so, too. They never come out and say it, but it is definitely implied by how the spirits behave.

I just thought of this yesterday but, do you think spiritualist develop these abilities faster than normal people?
I mean look at Ms Saenoki, she was completely in tune with spiritual activity in life.(not to mention, she was in human form throughout the games).
And she was dead for only three years in bloodCovered.
But can the darkening maybe have something to do with helping keep her human appearance?

It's just a thought though but do you think had Ayumi died in Heavenly Host, she could take human form early on?

But that's just my thought.
I could be wrong but still, maybe.

Like I said. It is technically still speculation at this point, but in indicators do point in that direction.

(Talking In General)

I do think that they start invisible then visible when they get the hang of their powers... When they are now visible , they can do touch stuff ,can inflict pain to others, fly through HH dimensions, turn invisible and even change forms..... Time in HH are kinda warp so... i do think that a ghost powers also depends on their emotions...

Dunno bout morishige though XD

In the manga, all ghost that appears has a human appearance already... I think that the blue and red spirits forms are just representations in the game cause you can't really make sprite for all the ghost that appears... cause i havent really seen a ghost that is in ghost ball form in the manga even Seiko has a form...

http://mangafox.me/manga/corpse_party_blood_covered/v05/c020/44.html

In this picture, i can assume that seiko has already a human form in the start, Satoshi and Naomi just can't see her... but she can talk to them a bit and send small messages..

All, in the presence of darkening... Due to low-to-no Darkening in the real world, Sachiko (with a built-in darkening generator fueled by her craziness and vengeance) managed to MindBreak Naho and Yoshikazu into her bidding..

Thats what i think..

I'm thinking it depends on how they die.

Like, what if they didn't know how they died and it was painless? They might have 'fresh' living energy for a time, at least until they find out they're really dead.

This means that they appear as fully human, no ghost light or anything, and they don't have any 'ghost powers' until that energy runs out and they find that they're dead.

This might also be true for those who have the Darkening, because Naho looks like a living human girl despite being dead due to the Darkening taking over her. But then, once she realizes that she killed her mentor the Darkening left her and she really died.

But other ghosts are in pain, so they can't talk....at least not for awhile. Especially the ones who got decapitated, dies of thirst, or were strangled in some way. Think about it, would you be able to speak if any of those happened to you? No, I guess not.

So then....what about the ghost fires? Well, in the manga they appear fully so it might just be that they didn't wanna make full-body sprites for EVERY ghost in the game so they made them appear as fire.

BUT! It could be that they appear as fires while others don't is because of how recently they died and how bad their pain actually was before they died.

Meaning that the ones who look like actual people but with the blue aura might have died a long time ago and just look like that naturally.

But then, the ones who look like fires had died recently and some don't even appear as fires at all for a long while.

So I guess it's all based on:

1) Time in Heavenly Host (And the time in it is screwed all to hell)

2) Mentality (Are they still in pain? Did they go insane?)

3) Darkening (Where they effected by the Darkening at any point, or even had been consumed by it?)

Also, you don't rally need to be insane to appear as a dead (pale)-human when you could took a form, I mean that if you're will to protect somebody or others to don't follow you in death is stronger than your fear or hate you could still learn how to use your powers of course in a longer time because, the power of hate is rushing, strong at first spot but is consuming, when the power of kindness in such a spirit is weaker at the first place, but is accumulating from the hope for the others.
Well this is what I've read in a book (don't remember the title), but what I wanna say with this is that there are many possibilities for the kind of ghosts related to the kind of personality that the person who died hold.
What I am assuming is that there could be a possibility for a good ghost who is powerful too.
