Yeah... i sometimes think of her, every now and then XD

onto the questions...

Is the Queen really the first shinozaki... I mean i can be totally sure that she is "not" japanese... Something like european... she and the village people (you know the witch hunters) speaks latin-ish (i think so)... well maybe a sub-branch of the queen's family tree XD

Did i just repeat this question before XD

Maybe we can refer a bit on the family tree of the Shinozaki Bloodline.

Alright, so Seira is the "Head of the Family". Zaion is... who? There isn't a title given to Zaion as place in the family tree. Without certain due to language limits in BloodDrive, it's possible Zaion is the name of the Queen. It's stated that Zaion is female, but we don't know her place in the family tree, other than it started with her.

Also, noting the texts officially given to describe BloodDrive, the Shinozaki lineage is responsible for the Book of Shadows:

"Regain the dark tome known as the Book of Shadows. For generations, the Shinozaki family protected that forbidden book and made it taboo to take it off the premises. In the wrong hands, this book will sink the world into the abyss and throw us all into the brink of chaos."

It wasn't mentioned whether it was just entrusted to be protected or they actually owned the tome from the Queen, the creator of the Book of Shadows.

Now this line: For Ayumi, it was the responsibility of Shinozaki's bloodline. The lone struggle and legacy of her lineage.

It's uncertain from just this text whether it means it's her responsibility due to being part of the family that protected the tome or because she is a descendant from the Queen herself, as with the other Shinozakis.

Until the BloodDrive text is localized, along the game, this is the best I can guess as of now, and it's not really conclusive:

Zaion could be the Queen, and somehow, the descendants end up at Japan and got the name Shinozaki for themselves. (Additionally, it may be possible due to needing to escape because of the Witch Hunts at the Queen's time.)

Or maybe Zaion is a person separate from the Queen and ends up getting entrusted the tome for protection, leading to them becoming the lineage that protects the tome, hence the responsibility.

Well, i guess that is more or less what i have thought... except for the one where the shinozaki are unrelated and was only given the BoS to protect...

Though, i was always thinking why does Zaion and Senera has no Husbands... of course this is just a case of Zaion being the head.. (How bout Senera though?)

haha XD

On other topics...

I love this pic... When i saw this in the opening i thought that Sachi and Sachiko would have some kind of showdown... Too Bad they didn't even met....though it's pretty obvious who's gonna be the winner... WARNING: LARGE PICTURE

Well, having nothing about the husbands of Zaion and Senera could either mean it's unrecorded or there wasn't one in the first place. While there is magic in this story, I'm not sure if they'd use it to create their descendants. Maybe they just didn't get married to the person who became the father of the child and was therefore left unrecorded.

I get the feeling we'll eother just get some bits of Shinozaki stuff for future games or drift away just into the remaining mysteries in the Corpse Party universe, like DP, which may be about the things Maltuva is doing/their experiments.

And on the picture with Naomi's dialogue, I feel it's foreshadowing and the place messing with Naomi due to her "betraying" Seiko, thus the need to run from the traitor. Also might be foreshadowing of Seiko's fate/actions on the end of Seal.

Ah no.. im not talking bout naomi's dialogue but the verse in the upper left corner... the traitor thing is pretty much a clear foreshadowing...

Its kinda weird considering that the shinozakis lived a "normal" life (i mean... aside from guarding the book and thier deaths... shinozaki clan has more freedom than any supernatural clan)

The verse seems to implies more sinister/divine than guarding the book itself...

Speculative interpretation: (May coincide with BD stuff.)

  • The first line feels like the erasing of existence by the energy or curse in HH. Another thing I feel it can mean is how the Queen punishes those who killed her through stake and burning by using the Book of Shadows and I think the Nehan on them.
  • Second line feels like how they were trapped and left to "pay tribute" or suffer inside the Nehan.
  • Third line feels like "purified" as in killed/destroyed/wiped from existence after they were punished.
  • Fourth line is kinda a generalization of what happens to those who enter Nehan or HH. In the great beyond (Nehan/HH), they are served their judgment (eternal suffering/death/erasing of existence).

I dunno if this is obvious, but about the Shinozaki curse: It's the spirits of the previous Shinozaki women that kills the husband of a Shinozaki woman. The voices when Seiji was getting offed was from the female ancestors. So it's not just magical "you wed, so your husband dies", rather the female ancestors of the Shinozaki bloodline kills the male, maybe, going with how I interpreted the scene and dialogue, by ripping the spirit/soul apart.
