I dunno if this is obvious, but about the Shinozaki curse: It's the spirits of the previous Shinozaki women that kills the husband of a Shinozaki woman. The voices when Seiji was getting offed was from the female ancestors. So it's not just magical "you wed, so your husband dies", rather the female ancestors of the Shinozaki bloodline kills the male, maybe, going with how I interpreted the scene and dialogue, by ripping the spirit/soul apart.
I took a peek at TheAnimeMan's vid... (I'm Still Angry...though)
Although, there were some laughing voices and it comes from the portraits of the previous shinozaki's portraits (I think Seira was named.....Toshuu means head of the family right? dunno if TAM misread it or im going too much reading..cause there is no shizue shinozaki right? )but... I'm not sure if it was the previous shinozaki because yoshie doesn't plead to the ghost but rather goes into full shinto chanting mode...
"The Bloodline of a supernatural being, a man who marries into the Shinozaki Family will soon lose his life...unable to fight the curse blood she was born in, yoshie turned into the forbidden book of her household that was handed over to protect the shinozaki family from the unwanted ones"
From the words there, i can guess that Shinozaki Blood attracts other supernatural beings and the Book of shadows is their last line of defense...
At least from TAM's translation

Spoiler: click to toggle Although, there were some laughing voices and it comes from the portraits of the previous shinozaki's portraits (I think Seira was named.....Toshuu means head of the family right? dunno if TAM misread it or im going too much reading..cause there is no shizue shinozaki right? )
Spoiler: click to toggle And there is no such Shizue Shinozaki as far as I know, so where in the video do you see this at? I'm very curious.
Seira's title is 「当主」 (Tōshu) or "(present) head of a family."

Spoiler: click to toggle Near the 15 minute mark (Part3 of AnimeMan)
I notice not only the toshuu but also the first kanji of Seira can be read as Shizu (wiktionary) so i guess its seira...
It's only a portrait of seira though... just posessed...

Thanks! I was able to find it!
Spoiler: click to toggle Yeah, the Japanese is: 「篠崎家当主の『静螺』」 or "The head of the Shinozaki family, Seira". Shizue is a mistranslation of the name.

Could ya translate the other words there as well... just to know if TAM reached the same translation as you do.. Here is the Japanese:
お歯黒の曽祖母、篠崎家当主の『静螺』が 額縁の中で黒い歯を見せて笑みを浮かべている。
The Anime Man translated: "The black-teeth grandmother Shizue smiled as she maniacally laughed through the portrait."
Literal translation would be: "The great-grandmother with blackened teeth, the Shinozaki head of household, Seira, is laughing while showing off her black teeth inside the picture frame hung on the wall."
We would have translated it as: "Depicted inside the frame on the wall is Seira, the great-grandmother and head of the Shinozaki family, who is laughing with her blackened teeth exposed."

Spoiler: click to toggle Yoshie does plead about not taking Seiji away, though whether to the lord she's praying to or to the ghosts, it's a bit unclear. It could be either, which is fine whichever honestly.
Also, probably a lack of fine-detailed polishing and missing context from TAM side, so I had my own interpretation, I see the "blood of a supernatural being" being the Shinozaki bloodline, not Seiji's. There's nothing mentioning of Seiji having anything special here or anywhere past here, if I remember the events. And given the context of the dialogue, "cursed blood she was born in" and "blood of a supernatural being" is probably related, thus Shinozaki bloodline.
If possible, maybe someone could check that part of the translation to see if it is what the original text does say.
Also, I think the last set of sentences about the Book of Shadows is more about Yoshie turning to the tome, which was handed over for them to protect from the unwanted ones, not actually protect them from the unwanted ones. I think that makes better sense, since they do talk that the Shinozaki family protected the tome since before and the fact that no one actually did a correct spell with it, so I don't think it'd be a good last line of defense.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, but I probably am, I think Yoshie was part of Yagoura (I think that was mistranslated too), mentioned as the only survivor (may be proved wrong with Misuto), and stole the BoS from Maltuva after knowing the thing about her bloodline for safekeeping, with Makina taking the stones and Yoshie taking the tome.
If it's fine, maybe the translations of those could be checked as well for verification.
Texts to check, if it's fine for those who can.

Spoiler: click to toggle Well, that make more sense I also kinda find BoS as a last line of defense a bit over the top.. I guess i was too stirred - Quote:

What i mean though is... Yoshie's Blood is attracting many supernatural entities rather than Seiji... Seiji, on the other hand, is just a normal person thus he can't take the spiritual pressure or some sort like that... I didn't notice that... about Yoshie being a part of Yagoura... Misuto IS the last of the yagoura's cause Yoshie ain't livin' anymore... Probably they were destroyed later... EDIT: I watched the vid and what i heard was "The world renowned supernatural family, The Shinozaki Family, the last of yagoura" May explain why there is a shinozaki yagoura spy (Aethix said) in Cemetery0 and why Maltuva attacked a philanthropist group cause they have the book of shadows. lol, i dunno... i don't know japanese grammar haha Iz confusing @_@

Spoiler: click to toggle Well, the necklace pretty much confirms that 2U did happen. In addition, there are some scenes in BloodDrive where characters feel familiar. One is with Aiko, as said by Ayumi, where she feels familiar to her. They met at 2U, but forgot about it post-2U. There are some lingering traces though, as seen in BD, and was confirmed a bit late into BD's chapters. I'm just incredibly amused that this guess was pretty much spot on to what actually is the link between 2U and BD.
