Hello everyone and welcome to the Corpse Party: Five Stages Of Grief discussion.
First of all I just wanted to say that this thread is an open discussion topic so if you have your own version of the "Five Stages Of Grief" theory, please feel free to post your thoughts.

Here's my theory.
We already know the characters are a work of fiction but here's a thought. (The end of this theory will be hard to explain considering the last character is canon to the true end and the original PC98 version)

What if they were never real?
What if they were just projections of inner sorrow, created by the cast, themselves?

My theory explains how the game incorporates the human embodiment of grief, presenting what each character initially felt before their untimely demise.

The thought of the unfortunate victims possibly never being real stems from the ending of Blood Covered (Repeated Fear)'s grim detailing of their existence being erased. (excluding the surviving students's memories)

This thought is going to focus on the five characters who've died in Heavenly Host and what kind of emotions, they've expressed before they passed away.

Stage one

Stage Two

Stage Three

Stage Four

Stage Five
So there's my theory on the five stages of grief.
If you liked it, that's fine, if you don't like it, that's also fine.
As I said before, you can come up with your own version and explanation for the stages.
Have fun with this theory and other possibilities.

Mayu's Shige-nii.
Awesome theory indeed, Yoshie. It's amazing how many games manage to incorporate the 5 stages of grief somewhere in them (any fans of the waking dead game, look at how Kenny develops after ~unspecified person~ get's bit).

Thank you, Morishige and thank you everyone else for reading this theory.(honestly, I've been dreading that I might've missed something of dire importance to help strengthen this hypothesis... I still think I'm missing something)
The Five stages Of Grief has always been one of my favorite theories.(especially when it's expressed in video games or movies)
I remember those scenes from The Walking Dead... He had a really rough time dealing with the grief of his son's infection.
Anyway, thank you all and if there is something I missed, please post your thoughts.

Yea, I read this theory as well, I just haven't thought of anything really meaningful to say is all. It quite interesting and well thought out, so I hope perhaps someone may expand on the points made here.
