Honestly, I don't want the characters to be revived in BloodDrive. All I want is for the characters who survived to forgive themselves for what happened, so they won't feel guilty enough to just sacrifice their lives for something that won't work.
I wholeheartedly agree on this.

A happy ending just will not work. Reviving everyone might make most fans happy, but it won't have lasting effects. The series will be easily forgotten. I was expecting a bittersweet ending like in the first game.

Or have a huge twist in the end - the dead will be resurrected, but everyone who did the charm will no longer be friends with each other. They will forget each other's shared memories and crushes; any relations are wiped off clean...and Ayumi is the only one who remembers about it. They will still know each other, but only as acquaintances and never on friendly terms. That would be a clever use of the emotional attachment they have built throughout the series. I know this will make a lot of people upset, but for resurrecting the dead, something of equally, if not more, important has to be sacrificed. That "something" is memory.

One thing that I'm sure about is that I don't want a complete happy ending. I admit that in general I'm more emotionally involved in bad/bittersweet endings; if I cry for a character's death or sad fate that means that the author has done something right and that I was truly involved.

So, I'm all for people dying in the arms of the ones they love, sacrificing themselves for their friends, forgetting about each other (maybe with the exception of one or two characters who remember everything), couples being forbidden to stay together by something stronger than they are, and stuff like that. It's the last game, and I've always thought that there's no better ending for a series than something that leaves me in a puddle of my own tears.

At the same time I don't really want a very bad ending, and I want the story to have an absolute end (unless they plan on doing other games, but from what I know it isn't the case). I'd like to see the surviving characters eradicating Heavenly Host completely, but I'm open to twist endings that still leave no plot holes.

I also have a feeling that Ayumi will die. Maybe in Yoshiki's arms, confessing her love for him with her last breaths *feels everywhere*. And I hope that, for once, Seiko survives.

I honestly don't really care if the people that died get resurrected or not. All that I want is for the people who died to be remembered, and they can go to heaven / afterlife / whatever it's called.
....But knowing this is Corpse Party, that probably won't happen ORZ

I am in agreement with some of the above posters. I think the best (good) ending for the series would be for Ayumi and Naomi to let go of the past and move ahead into the future; with HH and Kisiragi being purified and the ghosts of the school to be released from HH into heaven. Kind of like the normal ending of FF2 only without the sacrifice part. Because just seeing the plot synopsis in the wiki page tells me it's only going to be more painful grimdark. Using a book that caused you to nearly die a grisly death and made your sister's head explode in a hell dimension like HH sure as heck can't bring about anything GOOD.

Well, you're right, and this is Corpse Party, I mean, a "happy" ending? LOL... Nah just kidding, I agree with you in this, but I'm not going to lie, I would like to see a happy ending.

I don't know anything smart to say here... this twist is really smart, nice thinking Luph, but this will probably emotionally destroy a lot of Corpse Party fans (including me), I mean, come on, I just cried in the "No hard feelings" part... just think in Ayumi, thinking about everyone, with their best moments, like Shige-nii with Mayu, Naomi and Seiko, Ms Yui with everyone, with a super epic sad song in the back...

For me? Since Corpse Party is not Happy ending type so at least my thinking like this.
Nakashima, Mochida siblings died. but their spirit meet with everyone who died before and at least get a bit happy reunion. At the end when Shinozaki tries to seal the school, their friends spirit appear and have a little chat with her.
For me this is would be like best ending from me aside reviving everyone and lives happily ever after.

Even though I already know what happens (not gonna tell), I guess my speculations for the ending were that Ayumi would find a way to get everyone whom had died in HH back to the living world. I didn't care if they were still ghosts or not, as long as the memories were brought back.

Also, maybe Sachiko would come back to life but as a teenager to spend it with Ayumi? I don't know, but I would think that she would be 'redeemed' and would be allowed to come back to live a normal life.
