Corpse Party BloodDrive Hints and Tips (+ Trophy Hunting)![]() Feel free to share your tips for playing the game here. -Hint and Tips- --Finding yourself always short on batteries or too co-dependent on your flashlight? Here's a quick fix. Play the game while in a dark room or at night. Due to the lack of lighting, you will be able to see everything quite clearly, no flashlight required. --If you can't seem to lose a ghost, just save your game and reload. Upon reloading, the ghost will be gone. -Trophy Hunting- --Darkness (Beat a chapter without using the flashlight.): This is easily one of the easiest trophies to get. To get it easily, simply go to Chapter 01 and skip to the gameplay section. Make sure you do not activate your flashlight (don't press "L"/"Left Bumper"). Feel free to save your game in the next room. If you need a reminder of the layout of the rooms because you can't see, you can take a peek with your flashlight, then just reload the game with the save data you just made and do it again in the dark. Another good way to see in the dark is to simply play while in a dark room/at night time. Then, just play until the end of the chapter and you should get the (gold) trophy. --Stalwart (Investigate Heavenly Host Elementary School without being injured.): Once again, the easiest way to get this trophy is to play Chapter 01. Get to the gameplay and immediately save your game, but make sure you didn't somehow get hurt in the process. Now, go and carefully grab the board a little further down the hall, use it to make a bridge to the other side, and save your game again as the next part may be a bit tricky. Now, once Mayu appears, just run straight to your right, making sure not to step on any glass in the process. After the hiding tutorial, get ready for the tricky part. When you go further down the hall, Mayu will begin to chase after you again. Instead of hiding in the closet, run all the way back to where you originally found her. Stand near the bottom of that square area, making sure you have room around you to run. Once she approaches you, if timed correctly, you can run around her and down the hall, leaving you some good time to carefully navigate some of the obstacles in the lower hall. After you pass the closet, you're in the clear. Just skip the text and you'll get the trophy. --Death (Died from suffering too many injuries.): The easiest way to get this trophy is to go to any place where there are two glass traps on the floor directly next to each other. After making sure you have saved your game recently, simply walk between them and keep pressing up and down, quickly tripping the traps one after the other and depleting your health at a pretty decent speed. Chapter 01 has a good place in the lower hallway to do this trick and Chapter 02 does as well just left of the starting area. Edited by Iarumas, July 25, 2014, 6:59 pm.

Thought I'd pitch in on Trophy Hints: there's an easy way to get the three "do not do X for one chapter" trophies (do not be damaged, do not be darkened, do not use the light) if you have access to Chapter 08. It's easy to never use the flashlight and avoid examining objects that increase darkening since that chapter is mostly a story cutscene after going from the start to the top of the tower. The tricky part is that there are three wires that have to be snipped and one of those wires is close to a shadow that will ruin your day if it sees you. Basically, when approaching the western stairwell from the first floor, wait until the shadow is facing away from you before you try to snip the wire and/or enter the stairwell to avoid being chased and potentially being damaged. The rest is simple: use Iarumas's suggestion of playing in the dark to be able to see wires, enemy spawns, and damage tiles without the light. If you reach the 2F save candle without being hurt or using the light, you're on the home stretch. (Note that the trophies don't unlock until after the finale splash image, so you have to sit through or skip the long cutscene that makes up Chapter 08.) Edit: There's a talisman in Chapter 08 on the first floor, in the east hallway. I can't test to see if picking up a talisman affects darkening (though I doubt it should), but if you're having trouble getting past the shadow through timing alone it may be a good idea to grab the talisman and purify the shadow. Some tips 1. There is delay when the ghost attacks... once you get the timing its a bit easier to dodge.. 2. Pesky Ghost wont go away... Run to the nearest candle light... Save then reload... Resets the position of the ghost where you found it... 3. Do not abuse the Run Button... Just use it on Short burst with 4-8 sec delay... the short burst covers enough distance ... the worst thing that could happen if you abuse the run button is the ghost catches you and attacks you durin the duration of cooldown which leads to death most of the time.. 4. Well, i dont think there isnt a problem using the endless flashlight right? Chapter 1 or 2 i think covers the shadow trophy... i know this lowers the scare value... but it saves you a lot of eye strain trying to find tripwires esp. When being chased by the ghost.. spineless yes vut think of it as a movie element... the flashlight only runs out of batteries when needed. 4.5 if you do use E. Battery mode.. every after scene it goes off... and when it goes off it wont open even in E. Battery mode Im not a purists gamer so yeah... i just want the story lol Edited by DeathkaiserG, October 15, 2015, 8:54 am.

Can someone help me with the trophy about succumbing to "The Darkening" -- ? I feel silly not being able to get what should be an easy trophy, but even when I'm not using the dolls to "cure myself" and I examine morbid things/bodies sometimes numerous times, it apparently doesn't seem to work the same as Book of Shadows unless I've perchance missed something? As the game is still new in NA, I've had a bit of trouble locating anything in English as I've noted there are other gamer's having the same problem. Can anyone help me out? Is there a specific method? How do you know when you're afflicted? Aforementioned, I've examined things/bodies numerous times, but my screen/character shows no particular changes. I'm a bit frustrated with it as I feel it should be as simple as the trophies Iarumas posted about in the first place (which I managed to get with no problem) so I'm a bit agitated overall as I'm aiming for the Platinum. Any answer or general help would be much appreciated from anyone, so thank you very much in advance for your assistance. ♥(I also apologize if this has been addressed already and I possibly missed it. I searched through what I could with limited time, so it's always possible I perchance overlooked something.) Edited by Mayu Suzumoto, October 23, 2015, 9:43 pm.

@Mayu: To die from the darkening, you have to examine things until the lead character's darkening hits the maximum. You can only really tell that something gives darkening by getting the darkening visual effects after examining something, but even before that you can see a character's relative darkening in the pause menu (their eyes will be more noticeable because the rest of the portrait starts turning black). The "quickest" way to die from the darkening is to examine non-essential objects or nametag corpses repeatedly until you die. You can gain unlimited darkening from objects that give it for examining. Some obvious examples could be the scary face on the TV in the custodian's closet or the portraits with shining eyes in the music room. It can take 5-10 minutes to get enough darkening if you haven't already gained some naturally through examining other objects in the chapter. |
