And even if she was saved, who's to say it won't end up like Book of Shadows, where she runs and get herself killed after separating.
Because there's still "hope", so to speak. In Book of Shadows, she was destined to die. There was no way to save her because she had already died once, which meant she was now marked by fate. If she had saved her then, I think there would be a possibility for her to live and escape, rather than none at all in Book of Shadows. Not to mention, there was no sharpened piano wire near the toilets in BCRF. Granted, she could trip down the stairs and break her neck, but that isn't a guarantee, because she isn't destined to die the first time they enter Heavenly Host.

Seiko already lost her scrap and those of their dead friends have no sign of having it as well. Ms. Yui never encounters the Satoshi group on Chap 5, so even if she had hers, she wouldn't know it'll be needed. She doesn't even know of the scrap's importance. Also, while there is hope in BR, the school or maybe Sachiko intends to separate Naomi and Seiko. When Seiko tries to head back to Naomi, the school quakes and she can't go after her. Also, the space-changing quakes that occur soon after. So, yeah, there may be hope for her livng, but actual survival and escape is nil to me, considering all who survives do escape and she just adds to them. I see it as prolonging her death.

That's true, I forgot about that. But that was less of my point. My main point was that I think she would have lived for much longer if she had been freed from the noose before death, rather than her being fated to run off and die immediately like in BoS (or, something worse). Death caused by staying in the school (I mean, she doesn't have her scrap) aside, I think it was possible for her to live, if at least longer than she had. Keep in mind I'm not saying it'd be easy to save her and that it should have been common knowledge how (well, perhaps if Satoshi was around it'd be easier. He seemed better at saving people from nooses ...somehow), but that she could have lived longer if the noose was removed.

But then you've said the word "frantic" which is defined as "wild or distraught with fear, anxiety, or other emotion". In a state like that, which is actually similar to Naomi, it'll be hard to recall any way to save Seiko, if at all, and just end up moving by what you do without much thought.

With the situation they are in, unless they are professionals or trained, it'll probably end with Seiko's death all the same. And even if she was saved, who's to say it won't end up like Book of Shadows, where she runs and get herself killed after separating.

And another thing, even if she's got air to "choke" out an apology, note how strained and almost incoherent it is. And she is actually using it to try and speak, which makes her lose the little air she may have.

You are right bout that but I was wondering...

Though it is really really hard.. Its still possible to save Seiko in that situation right? *just the 1st hanging part, there is zero chance unless they miraculously find the scrap...and for the 2nd hanging...nope*

I mean Satoshi ain't professional.. And more or less, Seiko's hanging is Almost the same situation as Naomi's... Considering they can be both saved the same way...

Actually, looking back to Chapter 4, Naomi's case is different than Seiko's and is much easier to save. When Satoshi arrived to the restroom, Naomi was still talking to herself, mimicking Seiko's voice. It was when you try to exit do you hear her probably walk off the bucket and strangle herself with the noose. With that, Naomi just barely started to get strangled as opposed to Seiko who's been hanged for quite some minutes.

Luckily, Satoshi had more alertness and ability to be calm in the current situation than Naomi, who was evidently too frantic to help. Satoshi didn't try to hold the noose immediately, unlike Naomi who grabs the noose, choking Seiko more before trying to find another way.

Naomi and Seiko could have been saved the same way, as I've checked from Chapter 4 and the Seal chapter, but the main difference is the savior. Naomi panicked too much to help, while Satoshi had the calmness to think before acting.

Wait...

Naomi was mimicking Seiko's voice? I always thought that was something supernatural... You know HH messing with Satoshi's head or something? Cause the way i heard it.. It was really Seiko's voice... Like Satomi Arai...

Didn't know that.. I'll check that again...

So... Seiko could still be saved by someone who is calm and alert... Which is a very hard to muster in that situation

In the BC manga, Satoshi notes that Naomi's talking to herself. But actually, after hearing it again, I could trace Rina Sato's voice that's mimicking Satomi Arai's. It was a good mimic, but I could swear it's not two voices, but one that mimics the other.

EDIT: Yeah, double checked it and it is indeed still Naomi's voice copying Seiko's. The "nani nani" part shows it. Seiko's voice has a sort of "tone" and certain age to it that wasn't present in the dialogue there and in place, you hear Naomi's voice that imitates.

And the manga image where Satoshi mentions that there's only one voice talking is here.
Same image.
