Another short posting from me.

That 3rd Birthday song was pretty nice, but then, I'm a pretty big fan of Yoko Shimomura's compositions in general (I should probably post some stuff by her sometime). I didn't know she composed for that game, guess I should listen to more of that OST sometime.

I also really love Scars of Time; I was familiar with the OST version from way back when I first played Chrono Cross, but don't think I've heard Video Game Orchestra play it before. That version sounds pretty good too; I like how they didn't simply copy the original, but tried varying it in some ways.
Her and two other composers worked on the soundtrack. So it's actually a pretty varied soundtrack. It's one of the best things about T3B though. I recommend listening to it. It's 3 discs, so it's pretty long. And there's a few Christmas songs thrown in (because of the time when the game takes place). But the original compositions for the game and then reprises of older PE songs (remember the song during the car rides? part of that is used on one of the songs) are what makes it shine the most.

Really nice to hear how the added too "Scars of Time". It's already a hugely varied song, as far as the instrumentation and the actual style of the music. They really added some magic too it.

The horror.
I started thinking back to when I was a child and offered my heart to christ. This is what made me think about the "A Thief in the Night" movie series. They scared the crap out of me as a kid. Even though I was saved I still feared the rapture. So much so that I would cry about it.

I'm proudly atheist now, but I still think of that movie series sometimes. I'm not scared of it any more than I am of the Friday the 13th movies. It's just for nostalgia of my youth.

Here's a song from the opening of the first movie that I wanted to share.

I Wish We'd All Been Ready

Edit: I forgot to say that the Chrono Cross song was awesome to hear again. I need to play that game again. It doesn't get the love it deserves. It's in no way as good as Chrono Trigger, but it's still a good game.

I'm a fan of anime songs.
And stuff.
Yeah.
But I also like really, really good fandubs. (I subscribe to LeeandLie or Cristina Vee.)
So. I'm sure some of you at least are familiar with SAO, so I found AmaLee's fandub impressive and catchy.

Also other links.

Original Crossing Field by LiSa
Crossing Field - AmaLee's Fandub
Dream World - AmaLee's Fandub
Hare Hare Yukai - Cristina Vee's FanDub
Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Hayate No Gotoku Opening

Uhm, how about some True English Songs...?
I love Cage The Elephant, Damn it. (Learned about them with the BorderLand's menu.)

Ain't No Rest for the Wicked
In One Ear
Back Against The Wall

Whoa! That's alot of links.
I'm so sorry.
Ah, well.

When you and your girl weren't ready for what happened next.

I've been listening to a lot of BACK-ON lately, they're a japanese rock/rap/uhh...you gotta hear it for yourself kind of band that did the opening theme to Tales of the World 2 and 3 (2 was how I was introduced to their music) They've done a few other songs for other animes too so you might have heard them once or twice.

This one's one of my favorites, the opening theme to Tales of the world 2

I have about 20 of their songs on my PSP, so I guess you can call me a fan XD

A tumblr? What's that? Can I eat it?
Would you leave your lives to chance? What if I told you...you didn't have a choice?

Aw. Well that makes me feel better!
I've got one for you that I want to post in my next list! I don't know if you'll enjoy it or not (or if anyone will), but it's a cover of "Warsaw".

Sounds good to me. I liked NIN's cover of "Dead Souls". The main issue I really have with covers is that most people don't bother to look into the original artist. Otherwise, a different interpretation of a song doesn't have to be a bad thing.
