Well... I have a chance to post so... I'm going to. It's probably going to be a long one and is basically all guitar based this time around. Warsaw by Swing Kids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOoFP4L3CAA -Joy Division cover. I like this version as much as I do the original. Justin Pearson (the vocalist) named his record label Three One G. Don't Hold Back by The Sleeping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx17gVtdptE -Crappy quality music video. If you've played Guitar Hero 3, you've probably heard this song before. Keasby Nights by Streetlight Manifesto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk9RRnpFg24 -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keasby_Nights J by Reggie and the Full Effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIM1LxhJWRo -Horror movie costumes! Japanese Modernist by merry (LIVE): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmYmf5zFmhM -Pyrotechnics. A guy playing with is nipples. The audience doing... Hand things. If I remember correctly, the song is about Kamikaze pilots in WWII. 2:46 is probably my favorite part of the studio version but it's not sung live on this version. Bluesy Night by merry (LIVE): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q2xtLkUM9A -I want a hair stylist too. Board Up The House by Genghis Tron (LIVE): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJXrbLu2utw -"Cybergrind". 3 dudes, no bass, no drummer (all drum programming baby). I love the fact you can see cars driving by during this. Recondition, Reprogram, Reactivate by Gatsbys American Dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffHy54PI8JI -This is a band I was hesitant to listen to for years. I mean, they named themselves after Gatsby from The Great Gatsby (one of my favorite novels). Anyways, I own two copies of the album this is on (CD and vinyl). That's how much I love it. Theatre by Gatsbys American Dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6TBSe9s4QE -I don't really like the video. Black and white with a red sky? Whatever. Love the song though. We Can Remember It For You For Wholesale by Gatsbys American Dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zfiGtar524 -Pretty sure this is a about record labels. Whatever. Medicating by Boys Night Out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYrGuSNfZeo -I dunno, I love handclaps (3:41 they start and don't really last long either). Anyways, this is off a concept album so... Whatever. Enjoy the song. Thumbsucker by Pig Destroyer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny4gigSW17Y -NFSW cover art. Short and brutal grindcore (1:34 long). Girl in the Slayer Jacket: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HWuYx9Zmb0 -NFSW cover art (but it's a beautiful piece of art). Less grindcore and more raging hardcore and death-metal. Kiss Me Dudely by Troche: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70e8_dUvYzI -The title makes me giggle, along with the chorus. I was in public when I first heard this and I had to fight back a smile. History Reshits Itself by Touché Amoré: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPnTAB4K4JI -Features vocals by Geoff Rickly (Thursday, United Nations). Suckerfish by Touché Amoré: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLT4aJx8TqE -No comment. The Shape Of Punk That Never Came by United Nations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUs7nLhYaq0 -"Supergroup". The title is a reference to the Refused song "The Shape Of Punk To Come". O You Bright & Risen Angels by United Nations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWFOO0Ixz9E -Probably my favorite song off of the Never Mind The Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures EP. A Fact of Life by FACT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXHF3FbJIgA -I fucking hate their name. NOH MASKS!!! And Engrish. All of their lyrics are Engrish. Slip of the Lip by FACT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWR2tj-cG1Q -Long version PV. Makes me think of Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z. Pink Rolex by FACT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrTUkpwxVBM I had no idea there was a PV for this. Hurray! Song makes me want to dance. Special bonus song: Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Io3aSEkG_s -I hear this song at work, everyday, at least once. It's annoyingly fun to listen to though. |

I know it's kind of sad that I like this kind of music, but this song tugs at my heart strings. Spoiler: click to toggle

Why is it sad to like that kind of music? I enjoyed it. Does that make me sad too? |

No. I'm saying it's sad because I usually bash on romance for cliche. I really like this one for the originality, though. |

Coral Blue by Converge (LIVE): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o-kmNN0evyk#! This is amazing in a sense, not only because it's nice and calm (compared to most Converge tracks, but they have a song or two like this on every album), but because of John Baizley of Baroness playing guitar on the song. After a bus crash in England in August, his arm was reconstructed and has been on the road to recovery since then. This is only the second time that he's played in front of an audience since then and... His recovery seems to be going splendidly. |

I never realized until just now how much I can relate to the first verse of this song. Well, except for the stepfather thing, I never had a stepfather, and my mom's current boyfriend is a total asshole, he isn't abusive. Oh, and the earrings part. My ears aren't pierced...yet. ![]() But everything else, I just realized "Whoa. That's almost exactly like me!" Plus this song is just totally awesome! Sing for The Moment - Eminem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rDysbl6fAE And of course, he sampled the guitar from another song of the same name by...fuck who was it? Aerosmith? I'm not too into of the older rock (Judge me if you will, but I just don't really have an appetite for it.) so I wouldn't know for sure. It was either Aerosmith, or AC/DC though. |

Aerosmith. Don't worry, you're not alone. There's very little "classic rock" I enjoy. Led Zeppelin is one of the few for me. |
