Hahahaha. The Crazy Bus sound track reminds me of the Giygas battle theme.
As a person who likes insane sounding songs, it's actually not that bad. Just imagine it's for a lovecraftian monstrosity game instead of a bus simulator (That's what I'm guessing the game is. Too lazy to look it up.)
Ah, Silent Hill... such an awesome place. I loved the art videos from Silent Hill 2. Favorite was "Fukuro", that had some crazy music (although there's a version of the video with Queen's "Don't stop me now". Watching Pyramid Head do his thing with the monsters while Queen is singing is strangely funny.)
Abstract Daddy, Bubble head nurse, Mannequin... so many awesome monsters. (Now, that is erotic horror done right!)
I dunno if I'd classify any of the songs besides the sonic ones as musical train wrecks, to be honest. Then again, my mind may just be screwed beyond human sanity. The little green gauge next to the health bar on my UI has been at 0 for a while now.
Got any others Ajo?
Heh, interesting comparison (I really love Earthbound's soundtrack for what it's worth; definitely one of my favorite game OSTs). And yup, it's a bus simulator, though a rather barebones one (this video shows off the entire game in 1:38 if you're curious).
Far as other bad songs go, I have a whole playlist actually, which you could check out here if you'd like, though guess I what I consider "bad" is definitely subjective. Some're similar to what I linked above, where they sound really lifeless or odd with the instrumentation (like farmyard fun or those few Sonic songs I linked above), though a couple on there really aren't all that bad... I just find them rather odd or corny with the lyrics (like this German Naruto Opening or this song by Pizza Kids). then there're a few that're intentionally bad (like Don't Call me PUSSY and The Most Unwanted Song). Really, I just put whatever I found odd enough that I found it funny, though my sense of humor can be a little strange at times as well, so dunno how amusing others will find all of those.
Yoshie Shinozaki
And since we're on the subject of strange music, here's a song that made me fall in love with Silent Hill after watching Caddicarus' video of Top Ten Scariest Music In Video Games. If ya haven't heard this track yet, basically it sounds like a trip to the Dentist and someone decided to bring a Drumset into the office. It's noisy, off time, heavy on reverb and I love it.
I actually really like that one as well, even though I could definitely imagine some would find it grating (more avant-garde songs have a certain draw for me as well). My favorite Silent Hill songs would probably be some of the more calm and ethereal ones from Silent Hill 2, like Forest or Pianissimo Epilogue, though I really like some of those more loud and in your face ones as well, like the one you linked. Another I like is Warped Mind. Pretty much nothing but screaming, heh.
Far as other unusual soundtracks go, Lisa's soundtrack is pretty great. Kinda reminds me of Earthbound in some ways (likely intentional, since it was a big inspiration for the game as a whole), though Lisa's soundtrack is probably weirder overall, especially with the instrumentation. Some good examples would be All Hail the Fishmen, Die Die Die!, Work Harder, Last Call Before Hell, and Blood for Sex. The entire soundtrack's pretty great though, so definitely give it a listen if you like that style of music.
Oh yeah, one other odd one I like is Sunbaked Savanna from Katamari Damacy, which is composed entirely of animal noises. That may be better if you're already familiar with the first game's soundtrack though, since it's a remix of most of the songs from that game.
AHAHAHA! Finally! Someone who has played Katamari Damcy! The OST and story line was just insane. Loved playing that game on the PS2!
The German Naruto... thing... Well, it's not the first thing the German's have done to make me feel such utter disgust. Yuck... I can see that some thought went into it (which is the really sad part) e.g. quoting his line, etc. but god almighty that was bad. There are YouTube FMVs and MADs with higher quality. (Then again, all those vids are from niconico, and niconico has abnormal quality levels.)
The Pizza Kid one is just something I imagine the Annoying Orange coming up. Anyone remember the Pasta song they did using Lady Gaga's song? Sounds kinda like that.
The only song I ever laughed at was banned on YouTube. It was pretty much just talking about R-18 stuff the entire time. Catchy as hell, but if you understood the lyrics... Well, Gagnam style was all about being an asshole to women, so maybe it could become popular overseas?
Title of the R-18
It was called "チンチン、パイパン" which translates to "D@cks, Hairless." in Japanese. Yes, I can be immature sometimes.
The album was called, "Don't be embarrassed children!" or something like that.
It got taken up on the news once when some middleschooler somehow managed to play the song over the school's announcement system. Boy, I would have hated to be in that PTA meeting.
Pfhaha, I'd love to, actually. If only I could find an instrumental and then the english, yo--! Let's do it-!! Or something like that. I don't think I could upload it if it's terrible, pfft. Ah, well. That song's stuck in my head now! Found a VocaP by the name of MARETU-- And while super dark lyrics and all that, I've fallen in love with the tune and downloaded every song, haha.
I didn't pay much attention to it, but it sounded like they were in a loop where the boy just kept on dying and the girl kept on returning to the previous day in an attempt to save his life. This loop has continued for decades. In the end, the girl pushes the boy out of the way of the truck that was supposed to hit him and gets run over instead just so she can stop the loop. She wakes up in bed at the start of the loop again. i.e. the day before he dies. She hugs the cat that got him killed in the first loop mutters that it didn't work.

Actually, it's the girl that keeps on dying. The boy keeps on trying to save her, but keeps failing. After so many times of failure, he tries to save her by switching places with her. It works. So the song implies that it's the girl's time to try and save him now.
But then, an outsider goes and drags Hibiya out, leaving Hiyori and granting Hibiya an eye power after exiting the daze. This is outside this song though. It's on the "Konoha's State of the World" song. And the eye power thing is on the anime/novel/manga. The songs are usually just "backstory" or a small bit of their events.

Are you sure? The lyrics say it's the girl who wakes up, and it's the girl singing the song. I don't think the person singing the song would refer to herself as "you" in the song.
I watched "Konoha's State of the World" as well, and it still looks like the girl is fine. She's splashed by blood, but she's the one still on the pavement while the guy is in the street.
The lyrics also say how it's the girl who cries over someone flying to pieces on the road, not the guy. I guess the story or "dream" as it talks about these events from the boy's perspective, but it seems to be the boy who was revived many years later with science and cybernetics. The girl he loved is gone, possibly dead from age as it seems he regained consciousness many years later. However, it seems that he can see the day he dies repeat over and over again, even though he cannot interfere. The song ends with him lamenting that, "even if I could re-write the future, those eyes..." and then it cuts off.
My best guess is that he figured out that even if he changed the events of his death at that point, he would never see his love again due to his fate not changing.
The earlier segments of the song musing on how a body made from gathering "Meaning, Dreams, and Life seems to be a machine that brings back (re-experiences) an ended life." It then talks about how this is a story of his past where a single person shed tears and wished to see him again.
Sorry to break it to you Skybird, but there's no salvation for anyone in these songs (and it is the guy who died). Then again, that's the standard for Vocaloid songs. A lot of them are either depressing, or about depressing subjects.
Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. I still enjoy these sort of songs, but that's mainly because I'm a heartless sadistic bastard.

Yup. It's definitely Hibiya who's repeating the day, not Hiyori in Kagerou Days. The reason why Hiyori's the one waking up now is because she was the one who's left alive this time. By the start of the song, Hibiya is the rescuer. Now that he's succeed in saving her by dying himself, Hiyori goes through the repeating days to save *him* this time. I'm not sure, but it's likely that Konoha enters the daze by the time Hiyori was already the one trying to save Hibiya who's keeps on dying now, aka post-Kagerou Days.
Here's Hibiya exchanging with Hiyori. This is from the anime, but it's the equivalent of the last chorus of the song where it describes that the singer is the one getting hit by the truck this time. There's no real arguing this is the intent of the author too when it was Jin (it's unfortunate since he isn't experienced in this and thus, bombed MCA) that wrote the scenario for the show.
Oh, and Hibiya does get out of the daze.
There's also that fan-made PV of this song which almost got everything right, besides the personified "Heat Haze". Wannyanpuu then becomes an official PV creator for some songs.
The singer doesn't really factor into whether it's the girl or boy who's the POV. Jin usually uses either Miku or IA (female voicebanks) for the songs anyway.
Also, they do get salvation. Haha. Depending if you'd accept the anime route. The song route's more vague, but it implies it too.
So, Hiyori is the one who is repeating the day Hibiya died in Kagerou Daze then? That's what I wanted to confirm. I guess you thought I was talking about the events of that day in general when I was talking about who the subject of Kagerou Daze was.
Ah, I got it. I missed the subject of the last verse. It was Hibiya who got hit by the car by pulling her out of the way. Man, as a translator that's embarrassing. I blame not writing it out. Translating by ear is harder for me, so I often write out the lyrics of the songs first before translating them.
I still think the ending was not happy in Konoha's State of the World. There was no mention of salvation, and it was the person who was watching the events of Kagerou Daze's past i.e. the person in Konoha's State of the World was Hibiya.
The anime having a happier ending compared to the source material is not uncommon, they tend to make it more appealing most of the time imho.

Ah, yeah, but I wasn't talking about the "voice" of the singer, I was talking about the individual who was supposedly "singing" these words i.e. the person who is the subject/main-character of the song. It was the girl (Hiyori) in Kagerou Daze and the boy (Hibiya) in Konoha's State of the World
Well, this is pretty much based off of two songs, so if there's another song that links into these ones or a link to the anime you can send me I'd appreciate it.
