So, Hiyori is the one who is repeating the day Hibiya died in Kagerou Daze then? That's what I wanted to confirm. I guess you thought I was talking about the events of that day in general when I was talking about who the subject of Kagerou Daze was.
Ah, I got it. I missed the subject of the last verse. It was Hibiya who got hit by the car by pulling her out of the way. Man, as a translator that's embarrassing. I blame not writing it out. Translating by ear is harder for me, so I often write out the lyrics of the songs first before translating them.
I still think the ending was not happy in Konoha's State of the World. There was no mention of salvation, and it was the person who was watching the events of Kagerou Daze's past i.e. the person in Konoha's State of the World was Hibiya.
The anime having a happier ending compared to the source material is not uncommon, they tend to make it more appealing most of the time imho.
Quote:
The singer doesn't really factor into whether it's the girl or boy who's the POV. Jin usually uses either Miku or IA (female voicebanks) for the songs anyway.
Ah, yeah, but I wasn't talking about the "voice" of the singer, I was talking about the individual who was supposedly "singing" these words i.e. the person who is the subject/main-character of the song. It was the girl (Hiyori) in Kagerou Daze and the boy (Hibiya) in Konoha's State of the World
Well, this is pretty much based off of two songs, so if there's another song that links into these ones or a link to the anime you can send me I'd appreciate it.

As far as I know, the character POV in Konoha's State of the World is Konoha, the white-haired guy who's an "android". Hibiya's the char. POV of Kagerou Days.
Konoha's the guy in the middle looking at Hibiya getting smashed and Hiyori reaching out to him.
The anime having a happy ending is a big thing since in one of its episodes, one of the characters "see" all of the routes of this story. He sees the novel, song, and manga route. Pretty much, it confirms that it's one of the routes that happen. Whether this is the final route or the novel route would be the final one, we don't know yet.
You can just look up "Kagerou Project" and everything would appear on YouTube or NND.
Well, that finally made me go the wiki page for some answers. That is one crazy story line.
I was actually surprised the most by the fact that Hiyori was in love with Konoha/Robo-Haruka instead of Hibiya (at least according to the internet).
Call me pessimistic (or sadistic), but I would have preferred a more haunting ending. Maybe it's my horror writer roots, but I sort of rejected the concept of a happy ending for these two on principal.
Possible spoilers for Kagero Daze in general
To be honest, my skepticism meter spiked when you started mentioning eye abilities. Just seemed out of the blue. You shoulda told me this was dealing with inter-dimensional deity class beings and superpowers.

Hibiya is actually a pretty... creepy kid towards Hiyori since she's like an idol in their place. She doesn't like the attention, but Hibiya even has a toy doll of her. Many guys in their place also kinda idolize Hiyori to a possibly disturbing rate for her, hence her dislike for Hibiya and strong attitude against him at times. She's nice at heart, though. I mean, if she really hated him THAT much, it'd be hard to have herself sacrificed for him.
Yeah, Hiyori likes Konoha because he's "dreamy". In a way, he's always in a spaced-out state, so "dreamy" is a yes.
If you'd want a more haunting ending, we'll I guess there's some consolation here. Outer Science and Mary no Kakuu Sekai. (I forgot the English title.) This is basically the BAD END route of the story.

Yeah, you posted those earlier. I watched them both, really liked the one that was sung i.e. Yuki Rui. The way they put in character voices in the lyrics of song was a nice, chilling touch. he he he
What's the story of that one? It sounds like they're talking about the snakes from the medusa mother in the Kagerou Daze.
Is this dark Konoha that's the evil one? Also, who's the alice?
I haven't gotten to pay much attention to Mary no Kakuu Sekai, but I think it's about how Mary, one of the characters, talk about how she see the days repeat again after Outer Science occurs. Everytime OS occurs, times has to rewind, maybe wishing for an outcome where her friends can survive.
Spoiler: she turns time back.
Song Summary
The song tells about Marry's feelings about the events surrounding the never-ending world, called the Heat Haze, which allows her deceased friends to return to life by using the powers she received from her grandmother Azami. As she does not want to live alone in a world where her friends, the Mekakushi Dan Members, are not with her, she decides to repeatedly use her powers in order to save their lives, but the same fate seems to occur each time the loop repeats, so Marry wishes for a world where someday her friends do not have to die anymore and they can be together for eternity.

lol. I feel like someone wrote out one of my story ideas. Time to put on my tin foil hat on and start hunting those garden gnomes.
Guess it's not that novel a concept to be honest.
Oh well. At least I have better fight scenes. (I think.)
"I Return This Nightmare. I Will Find You. Sleepless, Cloaked In Despair. I'm Behind You. Man Has Made Me Oh So Strong. Blurring Lines Of Right And Wrong. Far Too Late For Frail Amends. Now It's Come To Sweet Revenge. Desperate Hands That Lose Control. Have No Mercy On Your Soul."- Here Comes Revenge By Metallica.
OMGGGGGGG I'm officially a fan now!! I am soo getting a copy of their album. わくわくわくわく
Oh hell yes!
Papina, I have to say, good pick!
(To be fair, I didn't see these videos, but the song, No Scared, is the intro theme for the game, Black Rock Shooter The Game, for PSP. I adore that song!)
Whether by Windblast or by choke hold, whether by the steel of my Folding Blade or the swiftness of Blink, whether by Possession or by the power of thine Pistol, none shall evade either my Wrath, or my Mercy. For the Outsider gazes from his Void, the fate of all, are in the hands of those, marked by him.
