Korean pop music sounds to me just like regular pop music. Out of those I liked Girl's Day - Twinkle, Twinkle, that one was fun! And I really liked Black from the Thorn Birds OST. I'll try to learn the latter on the keyboard.

So if I were to say the Thorn Birds was a mini-series about the epic love between a woman and a priest, would I get looked at funny? |

Oh. Right. I meant to put in some music. The trailer in the Youtube thread reminded me to do this. Here's a few samples from the most epically awesome game soundtrack of all time. I give you BLAZBLUE! Cookies for anyone who can guess what the tracks I picked have in common. Or just the gratification that you put your game-trivia knowledge to some kind of use. I noted that myself when I first saw the title, eheh. ![]()
I suppose so. I don't listen to American pop music at all to be honest. What little I've heard I don't care for, so I guess I tune it out. I can't really judge too much on that front, as a result. ^^ Ahaha, yeah, Girl's Day are an infectiously cute group. Some of their songs are utter fluff, and yet it manages to be catchy and adorable fluff. ![]() Ah yeah, I mentioned that was my favorite, as well. I'd really love to hear you play that sometime, oh my gosh! What a treat. Glad you liked it!

Nice to see all the activity this thread's been getting lately! I've been listening to all the songs being posted by the way, even if I don't always comment.
Ha, no need to apologize; you see how big some of the link lists I've posted are? Anyway, I find it pretty interesting varied your taste in music seems to be. I can see why you really like Perfume as well, since those were probably the songs that really stuck out to me of what you posted. I particularly liked Butterfly. That DJ Sharpnel song was also pretty neat; I can hear the samples of the Stein's;Gate opening in there, though it definitely sounds like a distinctly different song.
Yeah, I liked those ones too; the other Thorn Birds songs were also nice.
Those songs were pretty neat! No clue what they have in common besides being character themes from the same game (I figure that'd be too easy though... right?), though I did notice that the singer of Condemnation Wings ~Cry Camellia~ was Asami Imai, who as a lot of you probably know, is also Ayumi's VA, and the singer for Corpse Party's theme (plus I like her singing in general). With how often I've been seeing her pop up lately, I'd imagine she must be fairly popular in Japan. Edited by Ajogamer, December 1, 2012, 9:36 am.

Eh, you know what? I'll go ahead and post some more songs as well. Here're some of my favorite songs from L'Arc~en~Ciel (it was tough to find the originals of their songs in good quality on Youtube, so I went with Vimeo videos): Ready Steady Go! http://vimeo.com/39083016 Daybreak's Bell http://vimeo.com/39841749 Driver's High http://vimeo.com/39673035 Honey http://vimeo.com/38284517 I also really like this song from Hyde's solo career: Spoiler: click to toggle

I have. I dunno, I apologize because I'm slightly all over the place. But I'll take that you find it interesting as a compliment! Perfume is wonderful, I think I'll try and post some other songs by them at another time. I loved what was done with the Steins;Gate them so I just had to post it. Glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to post some more DJ Sharpnel at some point. A lot of samples are used in the music, especially from anime. Maybe some anime fans on the forum can identify the samples? |

Since there's some talk about Korean music on here... I only know one Korean group so I'll post some songs by them. A little background info first. TRAX was originally started in 2004 as a four piece, of which only two of the founding members remain. At one point, they were popular in Japan (they released 5 singles for Japan) and produced by the (legendary) Yoshiki; drummer of the (also legendary) X-JAPAN. Yoshiki also wrote and arranged some of their songs (the song "Scorpio" which was released as a Korean single, as a Japanese single and was featured as a bonus track on their first and so far, only album). They have thus far only released a few singles for Japan and haven't released anything new there. As for Korea, their last release was in 2011. They also performed a song for a drama called Mary Stayed Out All Night. They've probably done more than just that though. As for their music, before their first album, recorded a pop-rock songs and songs in the vein of "nu-metal" ("Paradox" is a great example). Their first album, 초우 (初雨) (First Rain) features (and forgive me, it's been awhile since I've actually sat and listened to it so I'm going off of my memory here) a lot of slower songs, with richer arrangements. But it has some of the harder songs that they were more known for during their beginnings (but they aren't so much "nu-metal"). And... Phew. Anyways, here's a few songs. Total Eclipse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymrt5LJ5G5w Paradox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqnscuWhDic Liez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0n-ZKWDrlc Blaze Away (Japanese single): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u-LmxfOcv0 And... Last but not least, this is probably my favorite song by them. Sad Wedding Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NuhlIrvaQI |

It's a shame because you were getting warm. What's in common are the VA's of the characters. Ragna the Bloodedge=Kizami Jin Kisuragi/Hakumen=Morishige Carl Clover=Ms. Yui Tsubaki Yayoi=Ayumi (some characters have an intrumental and vocal version sung by the VA's themselves) Hazama=Yoshiki (I included Hazama's boss theme since Yoshiki is pretty freakin' boss himself. )For the heck of it, I'm posting some more Blazblue tracks. These are my favorites, actually. Vocal version of Noel's theme: Spoiler: click to toggle Theme of the most badass butler ever! (I HEART! this theme) Spoiler: click to toggle My main, Taokaka. I like this one because it's so different from all the others and fits her perfectly. Spoiler: click to toggle The song you hear in the credits. Spoiler: click to toggle EDIT: I can't believe I nearly forgot to add this one! It's just too goddman MANLY not to add! Spoiler: click to toggle
