I really like the composition of the first three songs that you posted (I haven't listened to the duets, I'll get around to it). The vocals fit the music pretty well too. But... The composition. Oh my god, it's pretty amazing sounding.
Glad you enjoyed them! Those songs really impressed me a lot when I first I heard them, and I'd agree that the composition's a big part of that. While I was focusing more on Shimotsuki Haruka in the making the list, I definitely think that composers usually deserve at least as much credit as the lead performers do.

Also, I gotta say that Kinship Synthesis album you posted was pretty neat; I ended up listening to and enjoying the whole album, even though I've never been a fan of death-core; maybe it's partly cause the 8-bit aspect appeals to me. I'm curious though, would the music on that album be considered death-core? I can definitely tell that it has some metal aspects and influences, though I'm not really familiar enough with the different sub-genres to differentiate much beyond that, especially when the instrumentation's atypical.

I'm glad that you liked it!
None of it is death-core at all. I was just pointing out that the guy that made the music is a member of a death-core band, in case that meant something to someone. Maybe someone that liked The Red Chord would get interested in listening to it.
I'm honestly not a fan of death-core either. There are only a couple of bands that I like that do or have fallen under that umbrella.

Some musics for you all! I'll try and make it a lot shorter this time.

Sly by Herbie Hancock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3vhl88j9jg
-Jazz fusion. Head Hunters is probably one of my favorite jazz albums and it's an album of straight fearless experimentation. Over 10 minutes long.
Top Floor by TNGHT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQdZm4PqWGs
-This shit starts out ominous. The beat and bass sound great too.
Goooo by TNGHT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-kjLzAIYAY
-More of a hip-hop influenced track. Handclaps, stomping and high pitched synths.
Higher Ground by TNGHT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HzyUHxmkg0
-Favorite song out of the three posted (5 off of the EP). This song sounds like an army of demons should be marching in.
Def Surrounds Us by DJ Shadow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z8CDUCbheg
-I haven't listened to much DJ Shadow except for his first album, Entroducing..., but this song... Every time I hear it it sounds more amazing.
Black Thoughts by Off!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ9dyfQt7k4
-Old school styled hardcore punk. Keith Morris (vocalist) was the original vocalist of Black Flag and founding member of Circle Jerks. Punk pedigree.
Bitter&Sweet by -OZ-: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0Z7ewxZ-zE
-This band reminds me of lynch. in a lot of ways. The furious hardcore and those throat shredding guttural screams and growls. But with better singing.
I'm sick, b'cuz luv u by lynch.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k9tVhlUISw
-I do not advocate that link of spelling. I love this song though.
Celestial (The Tower) LIVE by ISIS:
-Hypnotic. I lose myself in songs like this. Sound mix is a little low. Almost 15 minutes long, so caution.

I forgot some stuff I wanted to add last time. So this will be a short one again.

Easier to Hide by Maya Jane Coles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dk_h1CSTwI
-Her production and her singing voice got me totally hooked. This is the second track off of her newest EP.
Fuwatanity by DJ Sharpnel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2YSuT1JIn8
-Apparently stuffed to the gills with K-On! samples. I dunno, I've only read the manga, so I don't know a damn thing. From 2:11 to the end is the best part.
I Heard Crime Gets You Off by Self Defense Family: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMGgjixx4to
-NSFW cover image. This song just sounds ignorant and belligerent, like the perfect hardcore song. This band in itself is a bizarre existence in the current landscape of punk. Note: Vocalist can't sing. At all. Has never been able to and never will.
Self Immolation Family by Self Defense Family: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD-7RSfvRiU
-See, can't sing. I love the music for this track though. As another side note: band was originally known as End Of A Year, briefly changed their name to End Of A Year Self Defense Family before settling on Self Defense Family.

Reading the Venting Topic has made me feel a bit down, so I'm highlighting a band that helped to get me thru my Junior and Senior years of high school. Here is Joy Divsion. Fun fact: they're one of the few bands to survive the death of its lead singer. (Well, technically. The surviving members went on to form New Order.) The only other band I can name off the top of my head is AC/DC.

To start things off, here's two songs you may have heard:

This was NOT written by Interpol.
Spoiler: click to toggle

This was NOT written by Nine Inch Nails.
Spoiler: click to toggle

I just really love this video.
Spoiler: click to toggle

And a few others I love:
She's Lost Control
New Dawn Fades
Insight
Something Must Break
Autosuggestion
The Only Mistake
Edited by enigmaopoeia, January 7, 2013, 2:29 am.
Mazel's current mood is:

You never can win
it's the state I'm in
This danger thrills and my conflict kills
They say follow your heart
follow it through
But how can you
when you're split in two?

The horror.
Speaking of songs that pick people up when they're down. These three usually manage to do it for me.

HNNNNGGGGHHH. JOY DIVISION. Not gonna lie, I spent... I don't really remember the cost actually... For a special edition Zune that has the cover art of Unknown Pleasures on the back, on the front of a leather case, a giant black box and a poster board... Thing.
I love Joy Division, even if I don't listen to them that often or haven't posted anything by them.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is another one that kept going after their lead signer died.

It is pretty surprising to find someone else who likes them! It's sad that not a lot of people would know about Joy Division, despite how influential they have been. But, since they were only around for a short span of time (including the time that they were Warsaw), it's also not surprising.
