Critical Madness (formerly known as Critical) He's a rapper. I'm a rocker/metalhead/trance...lover, for the most part. But I do like rap, as long as it isn't the stupid "smoke weed, fuck bitches, get money, BUR." crap that floods today's mainstream music. But if a rapper raps about real stuff, I really like it. Sounds really old school! I was kind of reminded of Nas on his first album by "Analyze This". You a Tech N9ne fan? |

No I am not. Not because I don't like them, I just haven't heard any of their music. I DO like Qwel, Typical Cats, (which Qwel is a member of) Soldier Hard, (former army soldier) and Deuce (my one guilty pleasure that goes against my opinin of rap) Art of War (feat Robust) - Qwel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDJy43Yf1kg Reinventing The Wheel - Typical Cats Road To Recovery - Soldier Hard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd__Mqa-v18 |

Tech N9ne is just a single rapper. Been around for some time. Sometimes his stuff goes into the territory that you said you don't like but his stuff is pretty decent otherwise. He's a bit twisted about his darker subject matter. It falls under... Horrorcore I guess. |

Heh, I can say those songs you posted made me smile, Dubes! Now then, I know I posted some Shoujo Byou songs previously, though I recently listened to their newest album, Crossline. After about a week of repeated listening, I can safely say that it's one of my favorite albums of theirs, and I may even go so far as to call it one of my favorite albums in general; It's not often I like a full album as consistently as this one. Anyway, here're a couple songs from it: |

I have no idea what Shoujo Byou is or who it involves, but it sounds nice. |

Another short posting from me. Primal Eyes -For The 3rd Birthday- composed by Yoko Shimomura: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLN5QpZ2L_c -Seriously, the entire T3B soundtrack is amazing. But this is a reprise of the original PE opening theme, "Primal Eyes". And it's totally awesome. Servant/Stay Night (Archer, Nobody Knows Him the Hero) composed by Shinji Hosoe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIkp-roj3Mc -Fate/stay night and Fate/EXTRA character theme for Archer. I'm not big into character themes. But this one... It's amazing. The scene that this plays during in Fate/stay night is equally amazing. This song made me glad that I bought the Limited Edition of Fate/EXTRA. Chrono Cross ~Scars of Time~ composed by Yasunori Mitsuda: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J46RY4PU8a8 -OST version. Absolute favorite opening theme for any video. Ever. Chrono Cross ~Scars of Time~ composed by Yasunori Mitsuda: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoSG3m4FHgQ -Not the OST verison, but apparently done by some orchestra that does sounds from OSTs. Amazing none the less. Edited by strwbry, January 9, 2013, 8:01 pm.

Nah, they're not Touhou related far as I know. Dunno exactly what their music would be classified as (I think it may be symphonic rock), though they usually call their albums "Symphonic Fantasy Albums". Each album also tends to tell a bit of a story, which is why you'll notice those moments in which the there's talking accompanied by the background music. Even though I can't understand what's being said due to my lack of Japanese knowledge, I find it pretty neat to hear the emotional progression as I listen to one of their albums; If you listen to the links I gave in order, you can probably notice what I mean somewhat, though you'd probably notice it more if you were to listen to a whole album. Anyway, glad a few of you liked it!
That 3rd Birthday song was pretty nice, but then, I'm a pretty big fan of Yoko Shimomura's compositions in general (I should probably post some stuff by her sometime). I didn't know she composed for that game, guess I should listen to more of that OST sometime. I also really love Scars of Time; I was familiar with the OST version from way back when I first played Chrono Cross, but don't think I've heard Video Game Orchestra play it before. That version sounds pretty good too; I like how they didn't simply copy the original, but tried varying it in some ways. Edited by Ajogamer, January 9, 2013, 8:22 pm.
