The horror.

Well, the school year is over and now it is summer vacation time. You'd think this would be something to be happy about, but no. This just means I get to spend time stuck in my head thinking about things that I don't want to think about. |

Um... okay. So you're a heartless jerk for not playing a bad facebook game? Now for my vent. It's 4:10 and I'm still awake. Why can I never sleep at night? At least school is over for the summer so I don't have to worry about running on fumes all day. |

Actually, dubes, I've got a similiar issue, but more like I wake up earlier than I planned to, mostly due to stress, or maybe even frustration I think... But yeah, you ain't the only one having sleeping issues, but mine are more voluntary, because I spend a lot of time on PC, even going into AM hours in the next day. School certainly stresses me out, but there's also lazyness when it comes to homework, not to mention poor time planning. Here comes my vent. My classmates are such pricks, as usual. Seriously, I'm trying to do a damn presentation on the pros and cons of gaming for English class, using memory to tell, while showing slides with text and info, while an asshole in the back, not visible by either teachers (it's seperated into a weaker skill and stronger skill group, like when it comes to English, I'm in the more difficult one, but it's not that hard, actually, for me anyway, is much easier than Lithuanian, my native language. Also, one teacher was recording, while the other was looking at me, and not in that moron's general direction), and he's showing me insulting words like "fag", and "fat ass", making me laugh (god only knows why, and kinda screwing up my concertration, since it was more memory based, and when that douche did his presentation, I DIDN'T MAKE FUN OF HIM!), while some others are flapping their hands around like a hand puppet, like "bla bla bla". Luckily, I still got the max grade, 10 out of 10, so not really all that bad. Another thing that is aggrovating me, is that people keep pestering and pestering me, to shave the hair above my lip. (I've got a little moustache developing there, just not large enough to matter, just a line of hairs sticking out) Seriously, that is driving me mad. Here's a message them: FUCK OFF! Seriously, that is getting on my damn nerves. What makes it worse, is that it was geography class, our main teacher shows up to give the photos from Class Photo Day, one of my classmates (a football playing, aggresive (sorry for saying this, just don't like her) stuck up bitch.) pulls out a portrait photo of my face, and most who see it, laugh at me! (Seriously, thank god I get along with the teachers, making small talk with them sometimes, otherwise, I think I would have just lost it awhile back.) So yeah, difficult schoolwork. My native language class, Lithuanian, I certainly have trouble with, since there's just too many words to learn, and just a word can be difficult to analyze, especially with the plethora of rules that may come, depending on the word. Combine that, with madness inducing classmates, and I'm surprised I haven't just murdered any of them yet. (Yeah, that's how much I despise them, I just wish they were dead.) Christ, hurry up and come, summer holidays... |

I'm already reaching that point of my summer where I'm feeling down on myself. It may be because I haven't had any real human contact in about a week. I'm really stupid like that. I'm dying for conversation, but if someone would try to talk with me I'd probably look for the exit as soon as I could. In other words, I need someone to talk to. I just don't think I want to talk to anyone. All the friends I've ever had have moved on. Including a good bit of my online friends. It's okay though. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think that I'm meant to be alone. Even though I don't believe in destiny or higher beings making things the way they should be. I just think that I'm most comfortable alone. Even though it's slowly killing me emotionally. |

I just started watching Game of Thrones. I love the show, but I hate that I can see everything coming from a mile away and I'm only in the 4th episode. I'm watching with my cousin who's watched everything up to the current episode. When watching I say things like "Okay, so I'm guessing that this character had this person killed because they knew that this person was that person's son. This way there would be no problem with Child X getting the throne upon person Y's death." To which he replies "How do you know this already?" My response is then a quote from Sherlock Holmes "You see, but you do not observe!" |

Just the usual supermarket rant, today ![]() People, it's called the '10 items or less' lane for a reason: People who are in that lane are trying to get their stuff, and get out. That being said; don't be that customer who waltzes right into the lane with 50+ items and just start tossing them up on the line like you own the place, that's just ignorant. Then you most CERTAINLY don't cop an attitude with the guy who has to put all of this stuff away because it's taking a little while to bag your oddly shaped groceries. At least get some normal sized, Tetris like things if you're gonna pull this crap. Then, you DEFINITELY don't act all innocent like you didn't see the big ass '10 items or less' sign when you rolled in. You had to see it, you have to look at it to see if the lane's open to begin with. "Oh, was I over 10 items? I'm sorry~ -fake-" Me: "Ahh, yeah..." In my head: 'Bitch, you were over 10 items 37 items ago, and I'm only halfway done, f*** you.' Now here's a fun fact for you all, technically, we're supposed to take people no matter how many items they have. And for the most part, I don't mind doing it, the amount of items someone has doesn't change my clock-out time. And if I see that you at least understand that this isn't gonna be a regular thing, I'll more than gladly help you out as long as there's no one else who actually qualifies to be in that lane around. But if you see that there are other REGULAR lanes open, and there are people with 10 items or less actually ready to go, and you STILL come through that lane like you're somehow better than them? Yeah...that's a problem. 3: |

@ Diabolic, Haha, I actually have a VERY similar story from back when I used to work at Wal-Mart. Except my story involves a guy who brought TWO FULL CARTS to my Ten Item or Less lane. Normally, I don't deny someone for being a bit over ten items; hell, I honestly don't care how many items they have, but at a certain point, it's a matter of practicality. Not sure where you work or what your Ten Item or Less lane is like, but the Wal-Mart I worked at had our Ten Items or Less lane as a TINY LITTLE speck of a counter with a 3 bag rotary. Now imagine two overflowing carts with quite possibly more than one hundred items heading your way. You should instantly see a problem with this. The only way to even manage while they unload is to grab extra carts and have them awkwardly surrounding my tiny island of a counter or have bags all over the floor. Either way, it was gonna be awkward and/or hazardous. So yeah, I politely told him that he should go to a normal checkout since it's just plumb not practical to try to stuff his two carts full of items into a three bag rotary. He complained to my supervisor, saying I was extremely rude. Plus, when I got the chance to tell my supervisor my side of the story, I found out he purposefully abandoned one of his carts when he talked to her so he wouldn't look as bad/stupid to my supe. (Although having ONE full cart is still bad <<). So yay! Customers! To end my story, no, I didn't get in trouble. I think my supe knew he was full of crap. But I did get an obligatory 'talking to' about how I have to accept ALL customers, no matter how many items they have, but it seemed like, despite the obligatory speech, my supe believed I was in the right for denying someone with two carts full of items on a Ten Item lane. Aww, dude! I would have cried if it were like that for me At least at my store, the 10 items or less lane is basically like the normal ones, it just has a very obvious 10 items or less sign on it that's detachable....Seriously, I would have cried, how the heck did you manage that? Or did you not even have to bag that stuff? On a side note: Stay in school, kids, you do NOT want to have to have a job like that for the rest of your life The second I get my degree...bye bye, retail~! lmao

Haha, it wasn't THAT bad, luckily. Like I said, I denied the dude. Sure, he complained to my supe, but the denial stood. I did have the occasional person with ONE full cart come up to my lane who I HAD to accept, but it was simply a matter of saying "Excuse me, sir/mam" and grabbing an extra cart to dump off the excess bags in. (It was literally the one way to do more than ten items on my tiny three bag rotary) Not convenient, but not that bad. Now if I actually HAD to do a two cart load at the Ten Items counter, then I'd probably cry. I really can't even imagine how much hell that'd be if I actually accepted him. The worst it got was when Wal-Mart gets SUPER-DUPER busy and a bunch of 30ish item people come to the Ten Item lane. Those were stressful days. But yes, I encourage everyone to aspire higher than a Cashier at Wal-Mart. Not worth the stress at all. Although there was good and bad there, as an introvert, it did encourage me to actually talk to random people. I'm STILL an introvert, but less so than I was before I worked as a Cashier at Wal-Mart. |
