As if 2 dentist's appointments in 2 days wasn't bad enough. One for a tooth cleaning and the other for a flilling. My mom backed into my truck today. |

God, I am on this particular thread far too often for my pleasure  But, for once, this is a vent moreso it being 'I'm seriously disappointed with some people' rant kind of thing. I'll cut straight to the chase, okay?Anywho, for those that don't know me personally, I'm a semi-avid player of the Yugioh Trading Card game. For those of you that don't really know/care what that is; good, keep it that way, players find something new to complain about every so often. And that's what this little rant will be about :3 See, every so often, the game gets a new banlist/thing that tells you what you can and cannot use in the game. For the longest time, players have been complaining that the game was broken and some serious change needed to be made. Tonight, said change was made, and good God...there hasn't been this much salt around since the Super Size fries at McDonald's. So I'm looking at people and I'm laughing my ass off because I didn't spend 50 bucks on a card that ended up not being able to be used here in America (People were getting their hands on it because Japan is now able to use it, and for years, the Japan Banlist ended up being our banlist.), as you've probably guessed, I don't care too much about this game. Now, here's the annoying part; I go to talk to my friends and express my joy/general happiness over the s***storm, and guess what happens? I get bitched out because I wasn't raging over something that...doesn't really matter in the long run. One of them went so far as to say 'Don't get all high and mighty because that 20 dollar deck of yours didn't get hit too hard.' ...-facepalm- Now, these are people who know of my money issues, and my philosophy on recreational activities. If it's not paying my rent, paying for my groceries, or paying for my tuition, I'm not going to stress over it. What's worse is that I thought that this was a mature crowd of people who would take something like that in stride, or at the most, express mild annoyance with it. Guess not, and apparently misery loves company, cuz they're trying to make me feel bad for not caring as much as they do. So basically that ended up being a whole headache inducing conversation that ended with me losing quite a bit of respect for these guys, like seriously, the one person I expected to overreact is actually taking it easy like myself. Meh, on a funny note, some poor sap I know bought 50 copies of said 50 dollar card hoping to sell them at 75...-Sachiko Laugh- He is one salty motherf***er right now >:3 Edited by Diabolic, August 21, 2013, 12:35 am.

I've never understood people who get so butthurt about things that don't make any real difference in their life. I understand getting upset that you paid money for something you can't use now, but if you know that there is a banlist then you know you run the risk that your uber powerful card will get banned. I used to be pretty deep into pokemon cards when I was a kid, and I even won a tournament in my hometown. So I won't bash on anyone who likes playing a card battle game. You just can't take stuff like that so seriously. Now that I'm off my high horse. I did get very angry when SimCity didn't work properly after I had spent $60 on it. I get very angry when I buy games that won't even let me play them. So, I kinda understand both your point and theirs in this situation. |

Husband ordered some Italian food for supper. The Italian restaurants are a joke in these parts. We have roughly four in this area and they are all the same; same menu, same packaging, all of it. Husband got us broccoli-stuffed chicken with sauce and noodles, along with some calamari. I swear, I've had TV dinners better than this shit and now my stomach's cramping something fierce. We are never eating that again. |

Just discovered that somehow, my N64 memory card got corrupted in the two days I haven't used the N64. I tried to repair it, but my data was lost. Luckily, I only had one save on it, but it was Goemon's Great Adventure. Now I have to start this game over. Wonderful. -.- I think I'm going to wait a while before I start over. |

I have no tolerance for bullies. Having to even deal with them makes my skin crawl, but it's a generally unfortunate part of life. I've been trying my hardest to keep a happy face going to keep up good relations, but it's extremely difficult when the opposite side doesn't really seem to care about said relations. I seem to be reaching a bit of a point -- going to have to say or do something. I guess we'll see what happens. |

I just hate fridays! They are boring and have absoulte nothing to do with them. I mean, my job is close because of my religion and all and that friday and saturday are resting day but what I'm suppose to do with all that spear time? Stare at the wall? Finishing games? Read all the books I've already finished? Gosh, I hate doing nothing important in my life! That's why I love the days when I'm volunteering at my job. At list I'm doing something important :] |
