Gosh, I hate doing nothing important in my life! That's why I love the days when I'm volunteering at my job. At list I'm doing something important :]
Ah, how nice. :P

Well, I've always had an issue with ketchup packets. No, I'm not trying to make a cheap joke, either.

They just refuse to open at the worst times! I usually run on a tight schedule, so I shouldn't be messing around with something so trivial in the first place. In the end, I have to throw it away because no one else can open it for me.

On another note, my tablet pen is practically useless, so I can't draw until I get the tip replaced. >_<

Serious question Mitsuki. Why do you use such tiny font? I have a really hard time reading it on my 47" tv that I use as my computer monitor.

Now, for my vent. I was eating super spicy buffalo wings and then rubbed my eye. I was screaming like a little girl for about a minute.

...I don't have a reason, actually. Even in real life, I like to keep my handwriting small. It just looks neater to me. *shrugs*

However, if it really is a problem, I'll keep the size at its default for you.

Don't just do it for me. It just really hurts my eyes trying to read something that small lol. Do whatever you're comfortable with. I'll just continue to copy/paste into notepad.

OH GOD. I've gotten Dave's Ghost Pepper (extract) sauce in my eye before.

Felt like my eyeball was getting ripped out.

Y'know...it's bad enough that DC Comics decided to make Harley Quinn more "interesting" and "edgy" by making her look like a hooker who robbed a Hot Topic and altering her backstory.

But now...there's a contest...Would you like to break into comics? All you have to do is Draw a picture of Harley Quinn naked and killing herself!

Mazel's current mood is:

You never can win
it's the state I'm in
This danger thrills and my conflict kills
They say follow your heart
follow it through
But how can you
when you're split in two?

You, just like the rest of the internet, are over reacting. I'm sure the suicide will make sense in context, and the last panel that has everyone's panty in a knot isn't that bad either. Yes, she's naked. People are leaving out that she's naked because she's taking a bath. It's not the first time that a character has taken a bath in a comic book.

I don't care.

If suicide wasn't considered all the times The Joker screwed over and/or seriously injured Harley or even when he died, why the hell are they doing this now? In what plausible context could any of this possibly be framed in? I can accept Harley growing out of her more G-rated beginnings, but I can't accept this. Given DC's current portrayal of Harley, whatever context they provide is still going to be suspect to me. They can dress it up with all the old-school Looney Tunes gags they want. I don't buy this about Harley Quinn's character.

(Yeah, yeah, I know Deadpool had an entire story arc of him trying to die. At least there was enough story and characterization built up for the reader to understand why he'd want to do that.)

DC is doing what Marvel did back in the 90s. Accepting that children aren't the only ones who read comics isn't enough. Everyone has to be a tortured anti-hero and everything that happens has to be gritty, edgy and oh-so-shocking! "Character development"? What's that?

Holy crap, comics really sucked in the 90s.

*proceeds to flashback to the dark days of reading Lady Death and Cable, goes into fetal position, sucking thumb*

EDIT-Sudden thought: Why is this a fan contest, anyway? Why aren't the DC artists drawing this up themselves? I think this is the main reason the whole thing stinks to me.

You just made my point with your Deadpool point. You're not even willing to give it a chance. Harley is a darker character. She has to be considering who her puddin' is. People are mostly latching onto the word nude which is ridiculous. Any artist worth their salt could find a way to hide it and have it not be too sexualized.

I think it's a contest to get outside artists to draw something that Harley is seeing in her head like a daydream. So that way it won't be in the same exact style of the comic. I'm not defending the contest though. I think it's extremely stupid and I'm sure the PR guy who approved this is going to be fired. It's their comic let them handle the story however they want to. Getting all upset about it isn't going to change anything.

I'll also concede the point that her redesign is stupid and unnecessary. Her old Harlequin outfit was the best because her name is a pun based on the word. Other than that I see nothing wrong enough to cause such an internet backlash. It's all super PC people getting upset about nothing. It's one of the many things I hate about the way this country is going. We have to mind our P's and Q's or the PC Police storm in and tell us we're horrible people.

I don't think this forum is the place to have this discussion though. If you would like to talk about this I'd like to understand why you find this so upsetting. I'm on Skype or you can explain what's wrong via PM for me. Please don't read this reply in an angry confrontational tone. That's not the way I intended it to be read. More like someone who respectfully disagrees. It's hard to tell tone in text. So anytime someone disagrees it might be read in a condescending or angry tone.
