There's a situation in my life right now where I need someone to do something for me to help me to get better at drawing, but they don't want to. In my "despair" of finding this out my first thought was that I could try to make them do it. I have knowledge of something that they wouldn't want out there, and evidence of it. So I could easily try to coerce them into doing something that they don't want to. The thing is that I haven't even tried to. I just feel like a terrible person, because that was my first thought. The fact that I'm dwelling on the thought upsets me too. So, my question to anyone who sees this. Does having thoughts of doing something wrong make you a bad person, or does having those thoughts and not acting on them cancel it out and make you a not not.... double negative... good person. A person who have such a first thought but repress it, thinking better, and feeling bad for the first thought, is a good person =D Somebody who have such a first thought and is doing it anyway, only to score his/her goal, is a bad person. That's what separate me and you superdubes, from bad persons ^-^ I hope it helped you man. :3 I wanted to say separate us from bad persons, sorry for misspelling ^^' Edited by Cain Marder, September 1, 2014, 12:25 am.

I just feel like a terrible person, because that was my first thought. The fact that I'm dwelling on the thought upsets me too. The fact that you haven't acted upon those thoughts in the first place makes you a good person, in my personal opinion at least. If nothing else, you've proven that you aren't 'bad' by not only repressing those thoughts, but by reminding yourself that they're inherently bad thoughts to begin with. You decided to not use this information against this person, even though it would have gotten you what you wanted. That alone shows that you're more 'good' than 'bad', and that's something to be proud of :3 Not to mention, you won't damage your relationship with this person by blackmailing them into something, so there's that too x3 Hope this all helps!
