Even without naming anybody specific, that's still insulting to the other users of this forum; avoiding names doesn't get around that. As a result, I'm gonna have to give you a strike here. I know this is a venting topic, though the rules of the forum still have to be respected with those vents. Please try to avoid flaming and insults the future. |

You don't have to think like that, the venting topic is where you can pretty freely vent about your outside frustrations and seek the support of fellow forum members, or just put down your thoughts on electronic paper; however, the thing you definitely want to avoid is speaking about other forum members here, since they still can read it and it could very easily take a turn toward bad blood and ill will on the forums. Basically, we don't want this to turn into a character assassination match between fellow forum members under the guise of 'venting', and thus far it has been pretty good at avoiding that situation, with most people venting out real life woes and getting it off their chest here. All-in-all, don't worry about it too much, PinkFloyd, that was just a reminder to avoid insulting/shaming fellow forum members, even if it is purposefully vague. We definitely don't want to censor what you can vent about, but you still have to keep certain things in mind to avoid publicly shaming individuals. I.E.: "I gotta get this off my chest, I can't stand when I see people who are just way too uptight. It drives me nuts! I wish they could just loosen up and enjoy themselves instead of creating drama!" Personally, I feel that this example post above doesn't single out the fact you're talking about forum members, allows you to vent about how people you view as uptight drive you nuts, and in my eyes, is a perfectly acceptable vent. The main problem with your previous post is you outright said that it was people on this forum who made you feel this way, which in itself creates some strife here, thus leading to very potential drama, and also greatly helps me find out WHAT it is you're venting about and even narrows it down to the individuals who you're saying have a "stick up their arse". This is not a good scenario at all. Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to clarify that we don't want you to feel overly censored/smothered, we definitely don't want to lead to that kind of atmosphere in these forums, but at the same time, we do have to step in to avoid drama and interpersonal fighting scenarios. Just be careful about ranting about forum situations and individuals, since those individuals could find out that it is THEM you're ranting about. |

I have officially went insane on my brother, broke a few things and now I have to pay for my little insanity outbreak. I'm not sure what happened but the destruction I made seems like a tornado took half of my house. How come I can help people with their problems, but I can't help myself on my own problems? |
