Ah, I was wondering where you disappeared to last night.

Really sucks to hear you got into a car crash, though I'm glad that it sounds you got through it without any significant injury! Sounds like your car got fairly smashed though... Hopefully that won't be too hard to get repaired or replaced.

Here's my venting for the night.

I was watching Enigma stream some horror games when my internet decided to act really stupid. So I decided to go to get something to eat. Well, when I was stopped at a red light guess what happens... have you figured it out yet? If you guessed that I got hit by a drunk driver then you're correct and get a gold star. I'm now stranded at my house, hungry and alone, with no ability to go out and get some grub.

My car was totally screwed from the back and my airbags didn't even deploy. Gotta love those Fords.
I'm glad you're OK. *hugs* (Don't like hugging? Too bad. You're getting one, anyway. :'( )
Mazel's current mood is:

follow it through
But how can you
when you're split in two?

Yeah, but I'm stranded at my house now. I apparently scratched my leg because the officer on the scene let me know my leg was bleeding.

I'm not hurt at all, but I feel bad for the girl that hit me. I hope this doesn't mess things up for her other than having a DUI on her record now.
It's great that you got out of that with only a scratch!

I went to the WIC office today and thusly got rejected. Apparently, husband and I make $500 too much to be eligible. Could be worse, though. The case worker told me she was forced to reject one potential client for making six dollars--six freakin' dollars!--too much.

This is an old story but...
The characterization and objectification of "Aya Brea" in The 3rd Birthday! I still can't get over that shit after having the game since it came out. And the weak reasoning for "why".

I really do *like* The 3rd Birthday -- I just thought, yes, she was quite different. Once finding out why, well...yeah. I'd rather that have been a different reasoning.

I completely agree. Well, mostly. I have to admit that I didn't mind Aya's personality *too* much, but it did seem a little out of place for such a game. Then again, they had the story behind it, so...

Really, I thought the reasoning was a little depressing -- especially for hardcore fans of the series. :( I'm sure many were disappointed. *Is trying not to go too far with it because I don't feel like popping up a spoiler tag. xD*

Yeah... Aya I heard in the first games was alot better in being tough and capable, but this new one was oversexualized to the extreme, like with the clothes damage feature and the secret shower scene. Not to mention how weakly she talked and always seemed close to crying. (I'm wondering whether it's the fact she's seeing people die and then enhance the enemy numbers, and feeling that she's helpless, or a side effect of Overdiving being her emotions are unstable and in a state of flux.)
Whether by Windblast or by choke hold, whether by the steel of my Folding Blade or the swiftness of Blink, whether by Possession or by the power of thine Pistol, none shall evade either my Wrath, or my Mercy. For the Outsider gazes from his Void, the fate of all, are in the hands of those, marked by him.

Mayu: I agree. I'm not going to say that I don't like the game. It's absolutely gorgeous graphically, the soundtrack is just... Great and the gameplay is fun. And I don't usually play shooters, I don't think they're fun unless it's multiplayer. The story was incredibly weak however. I'm not a hardcore Parasite Eve fan but I do hold a special place in my heart for PE1.

psp-ist: And those are all reasons why a sequel should never be made for T3B. A proper PE sequel would be find, as long as Motomu Toriyama isn't allowed to be a part of the project. And as far as "always seemed close to crying"... A little bit of all of it probably. Who really knows though, since the story isn't even slightly cohesive.

And continuing to vent to stay on topic... WHY BODY DID YOU WAKE UP AT 3 AM WHEN YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE TO BE AT WORK AT 11AM?! WHY!?!?

My baby's been up for most of the day with hardly any sleep. Mother-in-law might be right about this whole "lap-itis" business because he falls asleep just fine when you hold him, but the moment you put him in bed, he wakes up and cries.

Baby Man, mommy loves you so very much, but this shit's getting old. :-/
