I was just talking to some people in PMs, and DKG suggested I put up some of the theories I talked about in relation to both my work on expanding Blood Drive, and clearing up some points in general.

Warning: Spoilers for the game

1) What is the Nirvana?

The Nirvana is a space isolated from observation. A black box of sort that does not follow the progress of time of the normal world and has a non-linear perception of time and space. I think it was originally built as an ark of time to save the witches of the witch hunts.

Here's a couple Nirvana info drops and theories I sent Skybird when he asked me a similar question.

In response to a question about what happened to the original ghosts in Heavenly Host

A bit of a tangent but...

My theory of the Nirvana

In response to, "In extension to the part about the routes on entering the Nirvana: If other ways of entering it opened when Sachiko was appeased, why is it that the Sachiko charm itself stopped functioning? At least, that's what Episode 0 implied with the three girls who attempted it. "

2) What happened to Matsudo? Did Kuon replace him? (Matsudo is the homeroom assistant teacher that replaced Yui in the Blood Covered true ending.)

I don't remember Matsudo being mentioned either, but Kuon came to Kisaragi half a year before they went into Heavenly Host, so there's no way the two of them could be in the same route as assistant homeroom teachers. There's no mention of him anywhere, so he probably doesn't exist in Blood Drive instead of Kuon coming in half way and taking over.

After the events of Blood Drive, Kuon's identity as their assistant home room teacher disappears along with the fact that she was a teacher. She remains Aiko's sister.

The other students who replaced Morishige and Mayu disappear.

I guess, the ending of Blood Covered was a similar, but different route to the one that lead into Blood Drive. I can see the world where Matsudo is their teacher being unfavorable for [REDACTED]. Besides the fact that Kuon was needed during Blood Drive to help them survive, maybe some other events that happened in that ending work in the way for her.

Perhaps, Naomi's collapsing mental state was because she never told Satoshi about the text messages she received from Seiko in that class room. That may explain why she became like that in Blood Drive, as she never opened up about it. Thus, the incident never really had closure for her. Satoshi himself doesn't seem to know about the text messages in Blood Drive, and only vaguely understands that his friends are suffering.

The reason why having Naomi resolve her problems is bad is because of the events of the Book of Shadows chapter "Blood Drive".

If Naomi has reached closure with Seiko, she probably wouldn't try to confront Seiko's siblings about their sister. If that never happens, Ayumi won't have another person to help her get to the Shinozaki estate. Naomi was pretty important to their progress through out the house, and it was her who opened up the safe that lead to the basement. She also helped do the ritual, and carried Ayumi down the mountain after she got hurt. Missing Naomi might throw off all of [REDACTED]'s plans because Ayumi would either fail to get the Book of Shadows, or end up dead in the house, even if Hinoe saves her.

Then again, this is merely a butterfly effect hypothesis. The difference of having Kuon and not having Kuon. Perhaps Kuon's attachment to Satoshi prevented Naomi from calling him out to that classroom. Thus, she was never able to come to terms with what she had done. She ends up obsessing over Seiko, causing her to follow Ayumi when she goes to the Shinozaki estate for the above reasons.

TLDR: The true end of Blood Covered may not be the ending that leads into Blood Drive, merely similar enough to appear that way.

3) Hidden for spoiler reasons

Answer to 3)

Uh... Zaion... i think its just my misconception since i havent read the bc ending yet haha...

And like i said earlier, connecting sachiko to the password of the safe is pretty much the logical next step... anybody could have said the same thing

You never pointed this out in our PMs...or maybe i just missed it...

Naomi was the one who pointed out that the safe code might be a number related to Sachiko. Ayumi never makes that connection, and is surprised when Naomi gets the correct number.

It is possible that Naomi's run in with Yoshie has affected her in some way. Spirits tend to shed information in the form of emotions, memories, and thought patterns. Naomi's mind may have been imprinted with something from Yoshie, allowing her to think in a similar manner.

Yoshie's spirit already had a tendency to seek out individuals with similar mind sets to her i.e. people wishing to become teachers, liked children, or wished to care for others. Since spirits can both sense things like mind sets, thought patterns, and emotions (and we've seen that they can overwrite a person's personality by possessing them) it isn't too far a stretch to think that Naomi may have received something from Yoshie that made her necessary to progress through the Shinozaki estate.

The chapter "Blood Drive" is told through Naomi's perspective, and it is she who progresses the story line. It may seem obvious, but in a way it shows that Naomi really is important for Ayumi to explore the Shinozaki estate safely.

If Naomi was affected by Yoshie in that way, she is probably the best person to use to explore the house. After all, it was Yoshie's house, and as the person who was in contact with Yoshie the most out of the crew of Kisaragi, who better to use?

EDIT: Ah, realized there was a typo. It was meant to read, "Did Naomi try to commit suicide in Blood Drive?" Not "Did Naomi try to commit suicide in Blood Covered?" Fixed.
The above also ties into what exactly caused Naomi to suddenly murder Seiko.

Since Yoshie was killed by someone who was attracted to her that she didn't like back, it is possible this resentment towards those emotions is what caused Naomi to kill Seiko (coupled with the uglier parts of her personality and what not as well). (Read Naomi's Blood Drive profile for more info.)

The POV MC and the Yoshie Residue explaination makes sense... though the Safe password not really... besides

Ayumi: So we're dealing with a combination-locked safe surrounded by photos of Sachiko from when she was still alive...

Even yoshiki who had less to no experience with yoshie may suggest about Sachiko after hearing that...

Aside from that its fine...

I never noticed the Blood drive in the spoiler haha

What's obvious to one person might not be to another.

Besides, it is strange to change the password to a safe every year. For all they knew, it could have been Sachiko's favorite number (427 according to 2U), or her birth date.

A single digit password is also pretty strange. From my experience with combination locks in Japan, they're usually three digits long. Naomi spun the dial once, and then tried to open it immediately afterwards. It goes against what most people would expect, and, although it might make sense in a game setting, feels odd in a real life one.

If i remember 427 had a meaning in it... shi na nai or something like that and that is post death sachiko's fav number

Its a room full of sachiko's pics... isnt that a clue enough for people to think bout? Plus if anything.. you'll start with birthdays/years right?
Also even if it did change, they only need to guess one password

well, i dont have a clue bout the culture behind it ... they were starting at homonyms so yeah... i'll fold at this point.

Sidequesting... but i never told you bout this before right?

Is it possible that some supernatural group or even the government (highly unlikely) is actually supporting Paulownia High... i researched (googled) bout the plant and found some things... it is a high class wood and served the japanese for its different uses... it is also used in politics mainly the coat of arms and the 500 yen coin... also from ghost hunt, naru says paulownia is a good wood for making charms and stuffs...

So maybe its an important place as well to the land of rising sun... if not that... Paulownia is creeping with a lot of supernatural people like Naho, Sayaka, Magali (well, Maltuva is a secretive place so having without connection is a hard thing), Aiko (Kuon's Sister... kuon being one of the top supernatural figure as well) and Inumaru (Dog spirit). To a lesser extent, Mio... who still knows bout Sayaka and Naho after they died.. Well... they wernt really erased entirely but i couldnt say the same to sayaka since naho and kibiki are the only ones important to the charm. Sayaka could be erased without affecting the charm right?

maybe someone was pulling strings to get supernatural people to paulownia even those who dont know e.g. Sayaka and Mio

If you're thinking of schools related to the Grave of Maltuva St. Cruz Girls' High School is a lot more suspicious. They use some christian symbolism which the Grave of Maltuva share's. Azusa was also being watched as a potential "Head" for the Grave (i.e. a rank similar to Magari's). It's hinted that Azusa already had some contact with the Grave and that's why she had memorized those prayers and chants.

Paulownia is pretty unlikely to be related to the Grave, because Saenoki Naho only became noticed by Magari after she accidentally captured Ooue Sayaka in her "Project Dollies" system. If the Grave was connected to the school, Magari would have noticed Naho far earlier than that.

Magari's primary job as a head of the Grave of Maltuva is to find the Book of Shadows, and the Project Dollies was an attempt to hack into Shinozaki Ayumi's mind in the hope of gaining access to it. Shinozaki Hinoe was the better target, but was too difficult to get to according to Magari's grumbling. She dismisses Ayumi as useless after Project Dollies, and focuses on Naho afterwards due to Ayumi really knowing nothing about the Book of Shadows, and having no impressive supernatural talents.

Magari's switch of focus was because of how self-destructive Naho became after she lost Sayaka in Project Dollies and destroyed the only method of exiting the system. This forced a crash that threatened to turn all the people inside into "empty dolls" and forced Magari to do a system reboot restoring their memories to a point before they entered the system.

As Magari is both hedonistic and easily bored, after finding Ayumi useless for finding the Book of Shadows, she took a break from finding the Book of Shadows period and returned to her secondary responsibility which is the overseeing of the experimentation of new curses and rituals for the Grave. This is the plot line of Corpse Party 0 CEMETERY: The Creation of Ars Moriendi.

Here, she experiments with setting an electronically diffused curse that uses a website associated with a mass massacre. This was the Futhark company where a foreign worker was bullied and ostracized by the Japanese workers there. This caused him to go on a massacre, killing everyone in the building before killing himself.

This Futhark website was used to gather "resources" in the forms of the lives and bodies of the girls who typed in "I want to die" into the single search bar on the Futhark website. The rumor of the website itself was disseminated through the net, possibly by the Grave of Maltuva's own hands much like how they spread the rumor of the "Magari-san Dolls" used for Project Dollies.

Magari spends her free time "playing" with Naho while carrying out the "Futhark" program and enrolls at Paulownia in order to destabilize her mental state so she can break her when the time comes. Naho's ability to resist Magari to some degree, even after having Sayaka taken from her and mentally harassed and isolated at school, is what makes Naho fond of her. She's a sadist. Watching others squirm under her boot heel is a hobby.

Anyways, even though we had a bit of a Magari tangent, that's probably why Paulownia isn't that heavily related to the Grave of Maltuva. The fact that Naho was unknown by Magari, even though the Grave keeps an eye on any individuals with spiritual power, makes it seem like Paulownia isn't related to the Grave of Maltuva. If it was, Magari wouldn't have learned about Naho in such a round about way.

Ah of course... St. Cruz... right...

Well, i didnt specifically said that Maltuva runs the place but rather a vaguely space they know they can enter safely or something like that..

by comparing it to a lot of schools in corpse party... It's kinda bit strange for almost all of the students known in that school.. Has a supernatural ability of some sort...

" The fact that Naho was unknown by Magari, even though the Grave keeps an eye on any individuals with spiritual power, makes it seem like Paulownia isn't related to the Grave of Maltuva. If it was, Magari wouldn't have learned about Naho in such a round about way."

This. Like i said maybe run by a supernatural agency to hide them from the maltuva or from normal people. A more secretive agency than maltuva? I was thinking PL corp But Aiko should know that a bit and Maltuva knows Kuon. A powerful supernatural group,Maltuva didnt know a handful of supernatural kids? Someone must hidden them from the supernatural world and their school as their base. (illuminati? Lol)

Magari dismisses Naho, Sayaka, Inumaru, and Aiko as not being very special. The only individual every mentioned to be important by the Grave of Maltuva is Takai Azusa, who went to St. Cruz.

Magari's interest in Naho comes from how much she can hurt her without breaking her, and how self-destructive and nasty she can be when stressed. It's her personality that she's enjoys, and not her power. She at first wonders if it was even worth keeping an eye on her in the beginning of CEMETERY. The only individuals she has ever expressed any weariness or respect in a supernatural context are Shinozaki Hinoe, Kiriya Mist, and Niwa Kuon.

Additionally, the ease at which she was able to enter Paulownia, and remain/return to being a student there doesn't make it look like she has any particular difficulty coming and going there as she pleases. Even the teachers seem to see her as nothing but a oddly dressed student, instead of a threat. You could argue that none of this knowledge is disseminated to the staff or students, but it just seems too leaky and Magari's interest in the school itself seems too lacking to suspect Paulownia of being important to people with spiritual abilities.

Also, Sayaka's large amount of spiritual energy is hinted to have been acquired instead of something she was born with. Apparently, when she was younger, Sayaka was not very attractive and isolated as well. She forced herself to change into the Sayaka we see at the moment.

Spiritual energy seems to be a sort of currency of resistance against fate or progression from where you start. People who resist the path in front of them, or the events that they will go through should they carry on, seem to increase the amount of spiritual energy they have. Sayaka changing herself from the unattractive, isolated child into a popular beautiful model seems to be the reason why she has so much spiritual energy. Her dislike of Inumaru also seems to stem from this, as he is a remnant of her unattractive past. He was infatuated with her from the beginning, but her changing seems to have made her antagonistic towards him.

In Blood Drive, when Sayaka shows up to stop Inumaru from biting out Aiko's neck, she tells him that she should find another woman instead of a woman like her. It is possible she rejects Inumaru because she doesn't feel worth his affection due to how much she changed herself simply to become popular.

It is also worth noting that Sayaka's mind set is quite materialistic and shallow at times. She once questions why Aiko isn't popular and always going out on dates even though she is really beautiful. When Aiko states she simply has no interest in such things, she latches onto her and says she'll tag along with her and go on dates with her. Naho comments that the idea that a beautiful girl wouldn't be socially popular seems to be impossible to understand for Sayaka.

Hmmm.... God, i want to read the cemetery0 soon...

what if their not special spiritual abilities is a precaution... the school hides the not so special students and work them for their potential... Even if sayaka's power is just given.. wouldnt that mean she has the potential to wield it later on.

Well, i know im just pushing it but well... i asked more ridiculous questions to you than this one... haha firing a million arrows just to get one bit of the apple that is called Corpse party

Sidequesting again.. So Willpower is also connected to "Magic" to a lesser extent?
