So...the Witches created the Nirvana so if they died a part of them would live on with all their knowledge and memories? But then it failed because it created a unintentional timeloop of despair, like a 'glitch' or something? That's what I got from reading all THIS. I'm not missing anything, right? |

It was intended to create a paradox. If you are killed, and you are dead afterwards, then you remain dead. However, if you are killed, and you are alive afterwards, then there is a paradox. The witches knew that at some point they would be killed via the Witch Hunt's new weapon. Therefore, even if they weren't killed yet, they would be in the future. Thus, they tried to go forwards in time in order to introduce the fact that they were alive at a point after they had been killed. Thus, they would be able to survive their death. However, because the method they were killed in was via another paradox as well, they found that the blank future they were hoping to introduce the fact they were alive after they had been killed was already filled with the fact that they had died. Their future was already set in stone, and they never realized that. As for how exactly the Nirvana takes them into the future, because its concept of time is very different from the outside world's a single second inside the Nirvana could take years to pass outside it. Thus, they planned to exploit this to go into the future. |

Now I wonder... Is it possible that the disconnected and confusing dates of corpse party games are due to the fact that the Nirvana's concept of time is different... I forgot bout this but did I already asked you bout your thoughts on how the scrap prevents locking someone's fate? I know you've already answered this but I totally forgotten... And if losing a scrap meant locking fate then why is Naomi is still alive... When in one timeline Ayumi burned Naomi's Scrap (I also wonder why I only ask you this after all this years xD) |

The scraps merely allow your fate to be distinguished from Sachiko's, so holding onto a scrap would be a preventative measure from dying due to having one's fate intertwined with Sachiko's (due to the Spirit in the Ever After Ritual). i.e. It doesn't matter whose scrap you have as long as you have a scrap. However, using a scrap for a reversal holds some risk, as the scrap will return to where the scrap originates from. This is why Satoshi was torn apart when he did the reversal method with Naomi and Ayumi in Tortured Souls. As for why certain individuals such as Seiko and Yui die even when they seem to come in contact with candles, there are certain facts that are inevitable for events to progress due to the nature of the people involved. Naomi's tendency to blame others for her misfortune under stress prevents Seiko and Naomi from not fighting. Even when Naomi remembers this fact, events are forced to go in the direction Naomi would have acted without such knowledge. |

I see... when you're talking bout where it originates... Are you talking bout Byakudan or HH... If it was byakudan, then why satoshi have his arm ripped out... I mean if youre going to hh hand in hand... That doesn't mean only a hand goes if one is separated from each other? So if the Facts of this world remains absolute... Does that mean its already dictated who lives and dies before the tragedy even started? |

His hands were held by Ayumi and Naomi. Additionally, he was originally supposed to be at Kisaragi and not Byakudan. Thus, he was improperly returned to the normal world. In some sense, there are restriction to the available outcome, but I see it less as something like fate. To me, it is something closer to an equation or function. There are only so many possible outcomes available with a given set of variables. For the Kisaragi crew, the most that could survive was that number of people. However, it does not restrict less people surviving or no people surviving. Edited by Zaion, January 30, 2016, 4:59 am.

Question concerning the events of Blood Covered apparently not being what occurred prior to Blood Drive: if the kids escaped the school at the end of the Blood Covered, as in REALLY escaped. Went through all the steps of appeasing and freeing Sachiko, redoing the charm, and then fleeing through dimensional walls back to the real world, why did the events and character closures of that not match up to what we see in Blood Drive? I know that some Timey Wimey Wibbly-Wobbly stuff occurred, but they appeased Sachiko, and THEN escaped, so the events should still all align. Spoiler: click to toggle Shorthand: color me confused concerning the end of Blood Covered, the Book of Shadows chapter in... BoS, and the beginning of Blood Drive not fitting together. What is the additional piece that misaligns them? |

The piece is Kuon. At the end of Blood Covered, the assistant homeroom teacher was Matsudo. However, Blood Drive had Kuon as their homeroom teacher. Without her, the events in Blood Drive would have been radically different, and Ayumi would have failed in the sealing of it without her assistance. Additionally, Kuon has a tendency of following Satoshi around Kisaragi. This may have prevented Naomi from talking about what happened between her and Seiko to him, stopping her from reaching closure. Thus, she approaches Shinohara's siblings and runs into Ayumi who convinces her to follow her to the Shinozaki Estate. Simply put, like a visual novel or the Corpse Party games in general, there are certain "events" or "facts" that are required to drive you down a certain route. As long as you activate that event, the exact path you took is irrelevant. e.g. as long as you pick up the cat plushie, the game is not concerned with the time it took you to get it, or the exact number of tiles you walked over to find it. Seemingly small events, such as not reading the newspaper you are told not to look at, can change whether you survive or not. This is why I think the ending of Blood Covered was not the ending that lead on to Blood Drive. Blood Drive's route continued on from a resolution of Heavenly Host that was similar to what was seen at the end of Blood Covered, but differing in a few small ways that changed the homeroom assistant from Matsudo to Kuon. Yoshiki's memories of Heavenly Host being destroyed also support this, as Yuki clearly explained that that would not be the case to them. i.e. one of the changed events between Blood Covered's true end and Blood Drive could have been whether Yuki explained things to them or not. Remember, Kuon and Matsudo only take up the assistant homeroom teacher role because Yui disappears, so how thoroughly she disappears will affect who takes her place. e.g. Similar to the way Naho's blog and photos remained unchanged for a while after her death in Heavenly Host, pieces of a person's existence can remain and affect the world. Interestingly enough, Yui was killed over a massive pentagram that looked like a black magic ritual. Perhaps that had something to do with it? Using magic to control how far someone's erasure in the real world goes could be an effective way of affecting the world outside of the Nirvana from inside it. Of course, this does suggest the events that occur within Blood Covered and Blood Drive are being controlled by a 3rd party. Edited by Zaion, February 10, 2016, 2:02 am.
