Hi I just beat chapter 3 in Blood Drive and I unlocked extra chapters 1 and 2. So for the storyline to make sense should I play them before playing chapter 4? Or should I beat the game and then play all the extra chapters? Thanks. |

IIRC, only the final EX is the one connected through the story... There is another one but I'm not sure what the no is... Like the EX in BC, its just stories of characters though not necessarily connected with the story... Stories from the past Ranging from Slice of life stories to interaction of different characters. Like usual, the ex chaps are unlocked in a way that the main characters of that exchap have little to no role after that. In my opinion, you can read them whenever you like...either from the moment they are unlocked or at the end of the game.. |

I remember it kinda varying a bit, where some was just backstory that seemed it could be read whenever, but I also remember some of them seeming like they were intended to be read at the point they were unlocked, where those chapters either related to a character that recently appeared, or filled in an important detail about a major character that was still plot-relevant. Due to that, I'd suggest reading the EXchapters as soon as they unlock.

Hmmm? Really I thought there are only two ones (mostly involving magali) that are important The other ones are just slice of life segments and some serious back stories but like I said, after the point where the EX Chap is unlocked, the mc of that chapter has little to no role in the future. So reading it after the story is like an OVA to a TV series anime. Yeah, so I dont see it as plot relevant. Edited by DeathkaiserG, March 13, 2016, 11:20 am.

Yeah, those Magali ones were the main ones I was thinking of. I think those alone are enough to suggest reading the EXchapters first. You certainly don't HAVE to, but you may be a bit confused on certain aspects of Magali's character and certain plot elements going on in the background if you don't. While it's not as major, EXchapters 5 and 6 also deal with backstory of plot-relevant characters, and I feel fit in better at the point they're unlocked rather than later on, since (some spoilers) Spoiler: click to toggle But yeah, Deathkaiser is right that there definitely are multiple EXchapters that have nothing at all to do with the current plot and are really fine being read at any time, like Exchapter 1 and 3 for example, though I feel like the ones that are relevant to the plot or significant characters have enough of a connection that I'd suggest reading them as they unlock. |
