Hello.
I'm planning to buy the German Dubbed Blu-Ray of Corpse Party : Tortured Souls, and before I spend 35€ on it, I want to know if the dub is really worth it. If someone watched it in German, please give me your opinions on it.

are you sure its the dub and not just a german sub? as i recall xseed stated that they liked the original japanese voices and had no interest in dubbing the series

I've seen on some websites talking about this OVA in German names of voices actors beside the names of the characters.
So I'm pretty sure, or every website tell bullsh*t

nowhere on the wikipedia page for tortured souls does it mention a german dub, so it's probably just a fandub or something. i cant imagine theyd dub it in german and not in english.

Well, it's because Kaze is the one who take care about the German localization. Kaze is directly related to animes and has no problem into finding voice actors, while XSEEDS and Marvelous USA aren't really big in this plane.

This is from what I have gathered:

Here is a video of the unboxing of the German version. As you can see on the back it does read: "SPRACHEN: DEUTSCH | JAPANISCH" ("AUDIO: GERMAN | JAPANESE"). This is also confirmed on KAZÉ's official website.

Also if people are curious about the voice actors (Sources: 1, 2):

  • Satoshi Mochida = Florian Clyde (Droy, Fairy Tail)
  • Naomi Nakashima = Shanti Chakraborty (Nagisa Furukawa, Clannad)
  • Seiko Shinohara = Jenny Maria Meyer (Marin Tachibana, Wolf Girl & Black Prince)
  • Ayumi Shinozaki = Moira May (Miia, Die Monster Mädchen)
  • Mayu Suzumoto = Melinda Rachfahl (Kenya Kobayashi, Erased)
  • Sakutaro Morishige = Imme Aldag (Tsubaki, Servamp)
  • Yoshiki Kishinuma = Adam Nümm (Rayule, Fairy Tail)
  • Yuka Mochida = Aliana Schmitz (Nana Astar Deviluke, Motto To Love-Ru: Trouble)
  • Yui Shishido = Jessica Ridder (Keine weiteren Rollen bekannt)
  • Sachiko Shinozaki = Inken Baxmeier (Prinzessin Yona, Yona of the Dawn)
  • Kou Kibiki = Kevin Kraus
  • Naho Saenoki = Olivia Büschken
  • Yuki Kanno = Jelena Baack
  • Ryou Yoshizawa = Bettina Kenney
  • Takamine Yanagihori = Hubert Burczek
  • Yoshie Shinozaki = Johanna M. Schmidt
  • Yoshikazu Yanagihori = Oliver Bender
Also you can hear a small snippet of Naomi and Satoshi speaking in German here. (It goes from 2:48 through 3:00.)

I couldn't find anything better than this, but I hope this information helps anyone.
