Gyo made me curious of Junji Ito's other works and the manga of Gyo, which is different from the OVA. I should check it out soon. I'll probably like his twistedness.
For me,Junji ito's works are interesting but kinda incomplete....

Most of His stories starts of with a curse or a supernatural phenomenon... MC tries to solve it and either die or live... the thing is we never did know who or what the cause of the curse...

Its like watching the Ring without ever knowing who Sadako is... and all the research that the MC did are just useless...

not that its bad or anything... sometimes keeps the primal fear of the unknown but i prefer horror with backstories

If you want more insanity and twistedness, try reading Shintaro Kago's Works.... his works are in the Guro side so NSFW but the stories are interesting and just plain insane haha
Yeah, I can agree with you there, DKG. I feel like most of Junji Ito's works have excellent concepts, but they can often be a little lacking in terms of depth or details behind the phenominon. That doesn't work out badly at all for his usual short story format though, since with a shorter story, since I don't expect that level of detail from a 30-50 page story, and most of them wind up being plenty enjoyable due to the general creepiness and surrealness (which I not only enjoy in itself, but also adds to the creepiness, since it makes it harder to know what to expect from his stories).

I really enjoyed most of his longer stuff too, like Uzumaki (probably one of his best manga), though I feel like Ito seems more 'in his element' with his shorter, one-chapter stories.

I also like some Shintaro Kago stuff too. I'm not a fan of the Guro aspect, so it's really mainly a couple that stood out, but some of it's just so weird and unique that I can't help but find it interesting. Always been a fan of weird and surreal stuff in general, heh.

i remember the first time i read one of his manga "falling" I think

About people who gets lifted from the sky then plummets back down to earth with no apparent reason.... the people cant do nothing but react. The only semblance of information we have is from a girl that says "it horrific"

I was like "wtf just happened..."

Ive also seen one of his longer stories bout 50 pages long.... the same thing happened... the MC researched but was totally consumed by the phenomenon... with less info

Most Interesting of Concepts but with less details...

Oh yeah, right! Try to also read Kazuo Umezu's works as well... the inspiration behind Junji itou.. he is like Junji but with more details haha xD

Yeah, I remember falling. Interesting story, but that's one I remember being less satisfied at the lack of explanation as well. My first Junji Ito story was Enigma of Amigara Fault, which actually did have a bit more of an explanation than some of his others (well... kind of). Main thing that stuck out with it though was how it managed to be creepy while also being very unconventional in terms of horror (though I wouldn't say it's quite as creepy as some of his other stories, now that I've read more).

I hadn't read anything by Kazuo Umezu, though taking a glance at what he wrote, seems like they could be interesting, so I'll definitely check him out! Any stories of his you'd say are more interesting/better to start with?

Edit: Ah, wait, just realized Kazuo Umezu made Drifting Classroom. I haven't read that one, but heard a lot of people saying it was good, so planned to at some point. Maybe that'd be a good one to start with.

Yeah, Drifting Classroom is a good one to start though it is more like "lord of the flies" XD

God's Left hand and Devil's Right Hand is good too :D

On other anime's, Nobunaga Concerto is the most awesome Sengoku story with a twist.... And damn, Mamoru Miyano really hit the nail on the MC's voice XD

AssClass hyped once again with a 2016 planned release for Season 2. Can't wait for more animated octopus-slaying.

I thought SHOW BY ROCK!! will have 13 episodes, but it seems like it's finished already. It got a bit rushed, but it was enjoyable. "Berry" much so.

It was happy, by why does it hurt too!? Dermit Cyan!

Don't watch Oregairu if you want to question what you really want in life and your family and relationships and whether what you have is real or not. It's 4 AM.

But- Watch Oremonogatari if you want a good time

Genuine words, Souly. Pure, genuine words.

Watched AssClass episode 22 and wasn't disappointed. Even if I knew the events already, the wonderful animation made me excited.

Hyped for more octopus-slaying on 2016. More Itona, probably GoD too, AND Kayano.

TODAY'S THE LAST EPISODE OF TENSION MAX SHOW, MIKAGURA GAKUEN KUMIKYOKU!!

Time to raise our toy guns and take aim! Go! Go! Go! GO!

(I'm hoping that we get Overture as the ending theme song, but I'm betting it'll be Houkago Stride. That or Houkago Revolution.)
Well then... Also, my two probable guesses were spot on. Both for the OP and ED. Finally, MSS is done and all I got to wait for are the BDs with the character songs. :P

Spoiler: click to toggle
