Well, it was still a solid anime, just a bad adaptation. Basically, the anime's still good, and probably better than the manga in terms of pacing, but it also skims over various elements and completely changes other aspects, so it loses some of its impact (or is simply missing certain impactful scenes) at points, and ends up telling a somewhat different story, overall. |

I think its the one of those anime that was given a grant by japan for young animators.... So it isnt that really celebrated Somewhat like independent anine |

MyAnimeList is useful for finding that sort of thing. They've got a list of the various groups that produced a fansub on each anime's page, along with links to each subbing group's website, and user ratings, which help in figuring out whether a fansub was good or not. |

I just recently finished watching the first season of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." Needless to say to anyone who's seen it, that is a rather...... different..... show. I really enjoyed it though. The animation in it was amazing. Especially seeing Yuki playing the guitar. |
