Hm, well... I've actually never watched Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I tried a couple of years ago, but the first episode was a little boring. I think I'll pick it back up again this weekend, though.
Yeah, Higurashi starts a little slowly, but the pace quickens pretty rapidly with the next couple episodes.
I'd definitely recommend it, since it's still one of my favorites, even to this day; just make sure you watch the second season, "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai" as well, since you'll only be seeing half the story otherwise.[/quote]
Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to say: An interesting detail to note is That Corpse Party was actually one of the inspirations for Higurashi.

Yeah, Higurashi starts a little slowly, but the pace quickens pretty rapidly with the next couple episodes.

Kay so I sorta just wrote this scenario down that just came to my mind.
like seriously after I wrote that post you have quoted above I just thought up this in my mind and knew I had to write, I was laugfing so hard!
The Spell Is Real Yuki giggled to herself as she entered the torture room and locked the door behind her.
"Now I know that the spell works I'll just simply summon her to her doom and we can begin the fun."
Yuki said to herself as she skipped towards the torture table and began readying the harness & cuffs.
"I can't wait to play with my new big sister!"
She said to herself as she sat on top of the torture table. while pulling a large pair of scissors out of her pocket.
"Now lets begin. ATTACK ON TITAN!"
Yuki said aloud. To summon Mitsuki to her doom.
She sat for a couple of minutes giggling to herself hysterically in anticipation for her new toy to arrive but to her dismay no one came.
"Hmm... I wonder what's taking her so long? Maybe I need to say it louder?"
"ATTACK ON TITAN!!!"
-5 minutes later-
"That's weird why isn't the spell working?"
-CRASH-
A mysterious figure flys from a portal into the room at mock speed crashing into a stockpile of chairs and desks.
"Finaly! you're here! now we can play~" Yuki said excitedly as she skipped towards the figure and began removing debre.
"Ouchie! that hurt!"
A funny looking man with a collar around his neck stood up, scratches his head and takes a look at his surroundings.
"Huh? you're not Mitsuki..."
"How in the heck did I get here!?" The man said as he glanced at the torture devices around the room.
"Hmm...I wonder if they make donuts here. : 3 "
" WHAT?!?! Where is Mitsuki? What have you done to her?!?!"
"Who said that?!"
"Down here!" Yuki said as she tugged on the mans shirt to get his attention.
"Oh! hello litte girl~ do you know where I can find the food here? : 3" The man inquired trying to feed his sudden hunger. Yuki just stared back at him puzzled.
"You- Theres no- Why didn't the spell...?"
"Oooh! A spell, can it make donuts? : 3"
"THERE'S NO DAMN DONUTS!"
"Fine then, meanie!"
"Gah!" Yuki scoffs then begins pacing the room to try figure out what went wrong.
"Why didn't it work? I said everything right, maybe I need to try again more clearly."
"Attack. On. Titan." Yuki says softly almost un-audible.
-CRASH-
Another figure crashes into the room.
Soooo, yeah... Thats that.... I was literally writing it down as I thought of it- so theres tons of mistakes n' stuff heh.

There's alost Dangan Ropna. Man I just love those opening and endings. They are the best~
My favorite characters are probably Maizono, Kirigiri, Fukawa, Asahina and Celes.
Watamoe is just like anime on drug. I mean Tomoko is adourble. I wonder why no body sees that? :[
