Ha! Talking about punks, once I found myself in a similar situation. Of course I didn't draw a knife on them, but one of them thought it'd be funny to try and harass me (my old neighborhood's back alleys suck, lots of scum) and I was so mad I was 'boutta beat him to a pulp (my friends didn't let me, though).

I have to wonder. Why did they stop you? As far as I can tell, those little bastards deserved an ass kicking.(But that's just me, I can't tolerate punks) Heh, adding to that, my so-called "Friends" broke into a fenced in yard section of the apartments I used to live in, and stole a punching bag along with some smaller things from me.(That was over a decade ago) P.S: Cool results for ze test, mate, kinda mixed, though. I wonder so too, I suppose they weren't up for a fight. I mean, I don't doubt I could've beat the crap outta that punk, he was pretty drunk, but there wasn't just one and it's not like I could've handled 'em all at the same time. I figure that's why they didn't let me-- either that, or they were afraid that I could get hurt. Which is very unlikely though, I know karate (self-defense classes were practically a must in my old neighborhood, especially for us girls). Also damn, what kind of friend would do such a thing--? Oh cool, which Art did ya study? I grew up practicing Tang Soo Do and Hapkido.(I have to brush up on Korean but some of my verses are still present) Eh, it's not an issue, and as far as I know, they became homeless after a Hurticane hit the apartment complex, filling their home with water.(Retribution strike!) Well, I took self-defense classes (no particular art, just some boxing and martial arts), and Aikidou (which is not as oriented to self-defense, but more like combat yoga... more or less). Of course, they've all been useful and unfortunately (?) I had to apply my knowledge of these arts during my life. Until recently, in fact.

Das good, as long as there's no need to have to put your knowledge to use, the better. I do not condone fighting per se, but I'm not above defending myself or especially defending those I care about, of course. (With that said, my whole family and close friends have studied Martial Arts and are far better than I am in said Art so there's no worries) Oh and uh... Yeah-- I don't condone fighting either, just when it's absolutely necessary. And, at least in my opinion, defending myself and those I love and care about is, well... a quite good reason. Provided there is no other way of solving matters, of course (gotta say though, people in my old neighborhood weren't usually willing to sort things out the peaceful way). And no, don't worry--? I don't think you've taken anything out of context at all. |
