So in my school we have a creative writing competition between the houses; and you have to write something up for it. Surprise, surprise, I waited until the last minute. As I wanted to just get it out of the way and knew nothing about poetry, I decided to write a pretentious artsy poem about the loss of innocence in adolescence and how hard life becomes. Extra focus on the pretentious part. Turns out that is good for getting you nominated (with a chance of becoming a finalist). Morishige. |

To my utmost delight, this little book arrived in the mail today. I'm now a happy owner of my first Japanese level! 狼と香辛料 (eng. tit. Spice and Wolf) by Isuna Hasekura! Probably going to take me quite a while to go through it at my current level (roughly JLPT N4 level, vocab: 1800+ words), but I'm enjoying the process regardless.

What can I say? It's my birthday, Isolated Risk's progress is going well, my paychecks are gonna be the bomb, and I've got really great/special friends like everyone here, and that's just on a personal level! My mom is getting a job in a field she really loves (Christian work) so she can finally be happy at work, and my brother is finally ACTUALLY getting work, himself, so I don't have to want to slit my wrists with my paychecks before I hand them over to the landlord. Things are looking up in the cuddly Kingdom, indeed. :3 |

So, after getting my Vita I noticed that there's an art app called 'Colors!', so I immediately thought 'Holy crap! I can actually learn how to draw and possibly make actual busts for Isolated Risk!', so I'm obviously pretty excited. But my excitement kinda died when I tried to use my 3DS stylus on the Vita screen to draw, didn't work at all. Needless to say, I didn't keep trying, my Vita's still pretty new, despite being pre-owned, and I DON'T want anything happening to the screen. Turns out, I need a different stylus altogether to use on the Vita's screen, so I ask our electronics guy if we carry any dirt cheap. "The cheapest one I can think of is about 20 bucks." Dang, even with my discount, I'm not paying 20 for a friggin stylus. So I sigh and get back to work, when I find it. A conductive stylus that doubles as a regular pen just chilling on the floor in the area I was working in. I scanned it to find out where it went in the store, and it told me the price as well. 5 bucks, which made me happy. Normally, I would have/am supposed to put random items found on the ground back where they belong so people could buy them, BUT~ I decided to hang onto it until my break, during which I purchased said stylus WITH MY DISCOUNT :3 Also, I'm getting my laptop repaired/serviced in a month or so, cuz BIG FRIGGIN INCOME TAX REFUND CHECK :3 That check is also going to cover a pretty sweet vacation in the summer, which I'm looking forward to cuz I can actually do things instead of bumming off of my friends for once

Well, for the past few days, I've been having less sleep, less leisure time, and more work to do around me. This day, I'm happy that I've been able to finally do work for -ever after-. And also, I even got new ideas for the Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 of my fan-game. And also, this series I've been watching, Super Seisyun Brothers, is really amusing even though it's short! I really laughed a lot from the show!

I was feeling dread awhile ago since tomorrow, I'll be going back to school. FORTUNATELY, my cousins, who are going to the same school as me, told my sister that classes will resume a DAY after tomorrow. It's one day, but it's still a cause for celebration!

I actually have some time off, tonight is just day off number one of three, then I have Thursday off as well. Sure, my pay is taking a hit, but my brother finally got off of his ass and got a job, so I don't have to worry as much about bills. |
