I've played all the Corpse Party Games on the psp, well to be exact I played all three of them. I really enjoyed the first Corpse Party game the best because it reminded me of an old Jrpg game and had a really good story to it. Now I just wondering what you guys think? |

of the PSP games, I've only played "Corpse Party" and "Corpse Party: Book of Shadows", so I've still yet to play 2U (though I am familiar with some of the earlier events); I'd say out of those two, "Corpse Party" is my favorite, both due to the RPG-like exploration, and cause its plot is Meatier. I enjoyed Book of Shadow quite a lot as well, though I didn't like the gameplay style quite as much (though I do still enjoy it), and most of the game's events, while interesting, really are more like side stories or elaboration on the various events and characters we're already somewhat familiar with. That's not a hard rule for the entire game, of course, and I do enjoy the stuff that's more like side-stories and elaboration a good amount as well. I also moved this topic to the "Corpse Party Series" section of the boards, since this is dealing with the entire series. Edited by Ajogamer, March 8, 2013, 1:09 am.

I kinda liked Book of Shadows the best, honestly. The whole point and click gave me the same feeling I got when playing Phoenix Wright. Now, if we get 2U here in the states, that might end up being my favorite because I love anything comedy related. |

Mayu's Shige-nii.

As I've only seen Corpse Party/ BoS on YouTube, I have to rate these games purely by story and sounds, and if I have to choose, I'd probably go for BoS. Let me explain, if I was rating the story of these games as stand-alone titles, completely unrelated, I'd go for CP. But as a series of games, I prefer BoS, as it gives a lot of insight and character development, as well as what-ifs and explanation to events. Morishige. P.S to superdubes: I couldn't disagree more about it being a disappointment. It was everything a fanboy could want, if I'm perfectly honest. |

This, Shige-nii stated this perfectly for me. Personally, I hate to admit it, but I've had trouble playing BC ever since we received BoS here in the States. BC is so final and realistic for me. Despite Blood Drive being a portion of a linear story, we otherwise got to experience a lot of 'what ifs' which, as Shige-nii stated, also included massive character development & extremely helpful explanations. Eh. it might sound stupid, but I have to admit that Mayu is also a portion behind my choice. It's so difficult to watch her die so quickly in BC without a playable portion when I know I can pop on BoS and her a whole chapter about her to myself. Despite whatever happens, it's always nice for me to pretend certain things in BC didn't happen, so I glaze it over in my brain with events from BoS. I keep my facts straight online; but this doesn't mean they're straight in my imagination~ xD For all those reasons alone, Book of Shadows. |

The horror.

In my opinion the first game is far superior to Book of Shadows. The entirety of Book of Shadows felt like filler for a teaser chapter that set up a sequel to me. I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't for the fact that the exploration system is bad and there is too much time spent outside the school. I just think the story in Blood Covered was so much better thought out. Plus the whole curse mark thing really bugs me. It basically makes it impossible for you to live if you're destined to die. |

I like both BC and BoS....both of them have superb stories (and that includes Yui's flashback ) and ambience But if I have to pick though, it would be BC, just because of the gameplay... I like the exploration in BC than in BoS, the real time action is intense.. The children, the eerie environment ...Yeah BC |

I think I like Book of Shadows better. I felt like the new stories and the visual novel layout made it more interesting overall. Sure it carried on for a while sometimes but at least you got to see the details of Heavenly Host a lot better as well as know about all of those characters that died off after the first five seconds or you never really got to know. The gameplay really didn't bother me, it felt different and refreshing. |
