But what about some other fan favorites like Naomi, Naho, and Kizami? What are your opinions on them?

I hope you don't mind I answer this as well.

  • I like PC-98 Naomi a lot more than I do BCRF Naomi. Personally, she gets things done, but has the snarky behavior that I like.
  • I despise Kizami. Sir, I do not care if there are "no rules" in Heavenly Host. Those laws put in place in the real world were put there for a reason.
  • I like Naho as an Antagonist. As a person, what she did was wicked and uncalled for. But, just like I like other characters as villains, I like Naho the same way.

My favorite characters, in order are;

  • Yoshiki Kishinuma
  • Sakutoro Morishige
  • Kensuke Kurosaki
  • Masato Fukuroi
  • Seiko Shinohara
  • Mitsuki Yamamoto

@Iarumas: Yeah, I know. I can't deny how under-developed he was.

As for Naomi, it depends on the Naomi you're talking about. If it's the PC-98 Naomi, she's frikkin rocks! I like she sass and like Yoshiki said, she gets things done. I like BCRF Naomi, too, but man, she can be a wet blanket!

I do not like Naho at all. She's selfish, manipulative, creepy, the cause of all the suffering thanks to her 'charm' that actually gets people sucked into the school, and she's just a psycho bitch all around.

Kizami can be very uncomfortable to watch, but I appreciate him as a villainous character.

@Yoshiki: I think I'll lay down what I think of your favorites, too (well, the ones I haven't already discussed, anyway).

Morishige: This character was just kind of there, to me, in Blood Covered, at least. My problem lies with how they developed the character. One minute, he's a calm, reserved guy, and then the next time we see him, he's become a nightmare fetishist, looking at corpses like a boy who just discovered Playboy. I mean, would it have killed them to show us what triggered the fixation of corpses and how he journeyed from being how he has in the beginning to the lunatic we see in the school? I'm so glad Book of Shadows gave him more exposure. I really started liking him more after that.

Kurosaki I liked for his upbeat attitude, general kindness, and playfulness (and the fact that he had been left all alone in that school without going insane. That takes some balls, man). Plus, the guy's a frikkin hero. Even as he layed dying, he was trying to save Yuka and then even distracted Kazami from her with a punch that managed to lang him on his behind. And given the wounds Kurosaki had at the time, that's saying something.

Fukurai is just charmingly adorkable.

Mitsuki gets props staying sane as long as she did, even if she did eventually crack. Also, he defied Kizami to the end. She and Kurosaki are a lot alike in that regard. I can how they were friends in school. Regular kindred spirits.

@Yuki Kanno: Yeah... I was a dumb kid when I picked it. Pleased to meet you, too.

@Diabolic: Yo. I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here. The corpses smell, though.

Yeah, I'll admit he didn't really develop as much as spontaneously change in BCRF. Even in BoS his transition isn't really touched on. In, truth he's probably 3rd or just below on my list... If his death scene hadn't happened. My god, that death scene! I don't know why it speaks to me so much, but it just had so much perfect to me. Even then, what's given to us before speaks to me a lot. Still, though, it's just my opinion. I know there's a pretty large share of Morishige haters out there.

Besides, if you didn't think there was much development in Morishige in BCRF, I wonder how you felt about Mayu (again, in BCRF. BoS fixed a lot of lesser characters).

Morishige.

True. Very true, but I'd still rather *see* the change than just rely on a probable explanation.
