http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/273671.html Bidding for arguably Juventus two best players, in the middle of a title challenging season. What a joke this guy is. Chelsea just signed a MIDFIELDER who is clearly better than cleverly, anderson and fletcher from Benfica, but only Moyes would think he could lure Juventus key players to a struggling united side in the middle of a season. |

I think it's perfectly understandable! This is a guy who has failed to land most of his desired targets as such I think it will be best for him to try and move in before the real giants do. |

A move in January just isn't happening for either player. He could be laying the seeds for a summer transfer. |

What do we think the score would be if Juventus played United right now? |

Juventus could beat United, and united could beat Juve. |

That his main problem, his desired targets are ridiculous. I mean which coach is naive enough to think after barca sold one of their assets in Thiago, they would sell another one in fabregas for a mere £25m and then go into the season relying on 34 yr old Xavi and iniesta. |

If Moyes went in looking for two less illustrious Juve players he would lack ambition. Anyone willing to bet that is what we'd be fed? |

Was Jose accused of lack of ambition when he went in for Matic, or Moyes for that matter when he went for Herrera.? Benfica and Atletico bilbao are clubs where you can't really lure players to come to united. He wasted the whole summer chasing cesc and then 48hrs to go he made a late bid for herrera and expected Bilbao to release him without a having a replacement ready. Dude all Moyes has done since he joined united was go for unrealistic targets. You don't show ambition by going for players who you know you have little or no chance of landing. Let's see how that works out for him. Edited by dream_team, Jan 14 2014, 03:31 PM.

I'm willing to bet you that 'more realistic' targets would draw fire and criticism. The difference with Moyes and Jose is that Chelsea have done most of their rebuilding, while United seem like they have it all ahead of them. Surely you could see that a manager starting rebuilding goes out looking for a Marquee signing as bait to draw in the rest of the little fishies. Cesc is unrealistic for non financial reasons. Moyes is not well practised at buying players. A lot of things need to click, and it's more of a 12 months than 12 week thing. |

Surely if you want to go for a Marquee signing you go for a club not currently doing better than you are. My problem is Moyes has several options, to upgrade his midfield but he's choosing the unrealistic one. If RVP and Rooney are not going to attract players to united then I wonder who would. He doesn't need no 'Marque' signing. What he should be looking for now are clear upgrades to the likes of 40yr old giggs, cleverly,Anderson, ashley young etc Just 2 and half drive away from him there's a certain Cabaye playing at a lesser club, who would clearly improve his midfield which in turn would improve results which will then attracts players but no he's deluded he's looking for Cesc and arguably Juve most important player!. |
