Great article! This was my favourite part "Rather than castigate Chelsea, Wenger should actually be applauding them instead. After his perennial complaints about the Blues’ spendthrift approach to the transfer market, and his accusations of “financial doping”, he should be thrilled that his London rivals are striving to balance the books by selling players for a profit. To be fair to the Gunners boss he has since grudgingly pointed to the fact that Chelsea’s recent transfer activity hints that they are seeking compliance with the Financial Fair Play rules but if that is truly what he thinks then why voice any objections in the first place?
Rather than trying to appear to protect the integrity of the game and martyr himself in the process, perhaps Wenger is simply showing the strain of the title race. Perhaps he is concerned that, despite his team enjoying a renaissance at the top of the table, he still has City and Chelsea on his tail. Perhaps his nerve is starting to betray him."
Cringe. A chelsea fan writes a completely biased article bashing chelsea's rival managers and saying they're "scared of mourinho" and our resident spurs fan eats it up like it's delicious piers morgan vomit.
+ 1 and agreed! Thanks for taking out the garbage for me. Self-loathing gooner really does sum it up.

Self-loathing gooner really does sum it up. I actually appreciate it when they remove the pretense of actually supporting Arsenal.

Thanks for the honourable mention fellas, perhaps I should have removed the last paragraph, perhaps. Notice the writer in the last paragraph also used the word PERHAPS, I don't know about the dictionary in the states but here in the UK perhaps is used to express uncertainty or possibility, the writer is in no way saying that Wenger is 'scared' of Jose.
The first paragraph I posted is faultless and I see that none of you 'gooners' have anything to say against that, giving the fact that Wenger has always been against 'financial doping' then why does he have a problem with Chelsea selling a big star and replacing him with a much cheaper player? balancing the books in the process eh?
P.S I'm confused here which one am I self loathing gunner, spurs fan, chelsea fan, man city fan, levy fan?

Wenger asked about Mourinho's comments in post-game presser. His response? "I speak about facts and ideas, never about people."
Class. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. - Eleanor Roosevelt
One of my favorite posts of the year. I love when a great quote is applied to current hot topic. Much respect dsch The ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit. - W. Somerset Maugham At the risk of starting a mutual admiration society, you should post more around here. The group could use a little more of your sense of humor and relative calm. Hear, hear! (Or is here, here?)
Of course, Lebowski knows my thoughts on that anyway. Glad you're hanging around more!

The Chelsea blog is spot on about Wengers constant whining about FFP & it just irks you all that it is so . Wenger is a whinging cunt, period.

If you brand Wenger a whingeing cunt for stating the obvious, what label would you put on a man who has spent over a decade spending money at an unprecedented rate and has a pop at City: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/31/jose-mourinho-chelsea-dodgy-financial-fair-play
There probably aren't words troll, but I want to hear yours.
Go for it...
