looking like afc is club dat harvests bad attitude in players...players fighting on pitch, crazy german, captain breaking down in tears, beyonce, spitting cesc to name but a few.
I may have to take another "cock muncher" for this, but if this post doesn't say "I'm a self-loathing Gooner," none will.

I do have a neurotic dislike about him. Not denying that at all. Does it color my view of him as a player? Of course it does. Still doesn't change the fact that in all the years that he's been here, he hasn't stepped up and been a really productive player for us. In a year and a half, Giroud has done more than he has to impact this team. You can say, well Giroud was given the opportunity to do more. How many chances has Pink Boots had over the years? We've even loaned him out a few times to give him opportunities to shine elsewhere and it hasn't happened.

I just feel that at a certain point in time, you've seen all that a player can be. After this long, I know what Pink Boots is as player.

Fuck chilly, you're really spiraling out of control. Would a Draxler signing improve your mood? LOL

The nitpicking to be right never ceases with you.
Nothing like the pettiness of someone who, wants to scream "decade" but comes up short.
When Pink Boots was came into our youth system in the summer of 2004 when he was 16, he was basically in the same boat as Zelalem now. When he signed his first pro contract is irrelevant. The club was giving him something before that just like they're doing with Zelalem now. Whether it was was 50 pounds a week, 100 pounds a week, room and board, the club was giving his something back then. He wasn't living on the street during that period when he first came here was he? So obviously he was on our books for some amount of money. So now we're at almost 10 years. Now anymore nitpicking on this one?
When a player is yet to sign his first professional contract he's in the youth system. There's a different first team, a different manager and different colleagues. That's why they call it a youth system. If you are going to hold Bendtner accountable for as you said not knowing our system by now start in August 2005 when he is elevated into our system. If you were a balanced person you might also deduct three season long loans.

Now, as I said I'm no fan of Bendtner. His views of his own prowess remind me of someone... Let's leave that aside. I am a fan of precision. I'm not preventing you ranting, I'm just playing my part in the conversation about how long he's been here. Until I joined its interesting that nobody was accused of nit-picking.
Your first couple sentences are doing backflips off the page here. Just admit that Arsenal Football Club was paying him something in 2004 before he signed his first pro contract and move on with it. I do wish they weren't giving him anything and there were some pics of him back then begging for change on the streets outside the stadium. Maybe holding a sign that reads: "WILL MISS OPEN NETS AND BE A DOUCHEBAG FOR FOOD".

I did forget about those loan deals though so in the end we haven't been paying him that long. Good on us for letting some other teams pay this fool. <----- You see those two sentences Santry, that's saying "oops my bad, I was wrong about something," clearly a thing that you can't bring yourself to do.
While I think it would be fair to say I'm a critic of Bendtner I think you have gone well beyond the stage to where you have a neurotic dislike about him. That's fine, lots of posters here have neurotic dislikes to the point where they aren't expected to participate in discussion: and it's even amusing. As some of those people have social skills they can even be self deprecating. Somehow this is no limit to you allowing your mouth wander.

The fact is he wasn't part of our first team means that he wasn't in the structure he is expected to know well for the period of time you were shouting. I'd agree with the overall point that Bendtner was here long enough to be expected to do better. I would also deduct the years out on loan. Throughout the time Bendtner's attitude was deficient which prevented him showing his true talent. I hear people saying the attitude has changed, and I'm not sure. However, the last few years can only have been humbling for him. A big turning point was when RVP went on a four month injury stint and Bendtner got injured one game into his window of opportunity, and was playing well.

What's the point? There's things falling for and against Bendtner. He's been unlucky, but he's also not helped himself. No doubt a person with lurid interests like girls shitting all over one another can't think straight enough to make a contribution to understanding the player.
Neurotic? One wonders what standard or diagnostic manual supports this conclusion given the fact the club wanted to be rid of the player, too. Or perhaps the neurosis is widespread. He's had repeated chances to prove himself and, the odd flash of decent play aside, has failed them all.

Let's stop trying to put lipstick on this pig. The only reason Bendtner is still around is because we failed to find suitable cover last summer.

Ahhhh...a man after my own heart! Come join me in a shrink session to cure us our Pink Boots hate neurosis! Or we can just happily wallow in our neurotic views. I prefer the latter.

Kind of like Chuck Yeager in the Right Stuff when his engines seized up and he started spinning back towards Earth. Like him, I've pulled myself out of it before crashing and burning.

In fairness, "spitting Cesc" is the taunt of a Manc troll, and if quoting that isn't a sign of "self-loathing," I don't know what is.

There's your habit of grasping the wrong end of the stick again. Nobody is trying to put lipstick on a pig. Bendtner's character flaws and catalogue of failed opportunities have long been a matter of comment from me. But isn't it churlish to ignore that within all that he had a few moments where he was unlucky with injuries. If people come on a message board that is about discussion surely all of the facts are relevant, not just the ones that some people choose to fix upon.
