Was he banging Jose' wife? I can't see it being anything but personal. From Chelski's best player to being relegated to the bench. Ridiculous.

Very classy. Very professional. What a contrast to his manager.

Too bad he's going to another team I loathe - I'd like to root for the guy.

The guy handled the whole thing with a ton of class. Never heard him complain about losing his spot in the squad and just kept his head down and his mouth shut.

Funny how Chelsea baggage is United's savior.

Times change.

I'm not sure about how "classy" this is. For the rest of the world it looks like a pro who harbours no malice. But this line suggests otherwise:

To Robbie and Rafa, for their unlimited trust in me. And to Jose, for making me a stronger player, because in difficult moments, I have learnt to remain positive and to keep working hard.

It sort of says you didn't trust me. But in spite of you I remained strong and became a better player by simply remaining positive as you refused to select me.

Still, I can imagine how most of the rest of it is heartwarming for a Chelsea fan.

It's honest but respectful. He didn't sugarcoat that things went south for him under Jose.

I don't disagree, but something in the way that is written shows a carefully disguised dig at a manager who treated him unfairly. Maybe so careful that only José will really know. Watch his next press conference closely, he can't shut his mouth.

only YOU will interpret it like that, he mentioned that the letter was coming straight from his heart, so in other words he was being honest with everyone with Jose.
What do you want him to do? not mention Jose's name at all after thanking everyone at the club including the past managers OR use stronger words towards Jose??

And it wasn't just heart-warming to Chelsea fans, about few journalist/pundits including sid lowe and janusz michallik, have already acknowledged his letter as classy

If he hadnt mentioned Jose at all, it would've been worse. Inside he had to be upset about not getting matches and when he does bring up Jose, what he said could be seen as a veiled sbot at him but what he said is right. I'm sure this whole experience under Jose did make him stronger for having to deal with being a fringe player after winning POY the last 2 seasons there.
