IMO this is the period the wheels will fall off for Arsenal. In between 8th feb-15th march Arsenal play Liverpool away twice, Bayern Munich twice, Utd & Spurs.
I say this based on history & how I perceive the lack of mental toughness in the Arsenal team & in Wenger. Take it as you will
If you get through this period well then I will start to consider Arsenal serious title contenders & not just pace setters behind whom the real contenders sit
I'll be crossing my fingers that it doesn't happen. February has been an Achilles heel for us in past seasons. The fact that we look like we cruise through parts of many matches instead of going 90 miles per hour all the time may help us to avoid going off the rails this time. This is the first season in a long time where we can rely on some stability year over year. Prior to Summer 2013, I don't remember the last off season during which we got rid of only those players we wanted to see leave and used our transfer budget for something other than treading water. This year we bring a deeper, more experienced and more professional squad into February than we have since the days of Henry, Vieira and Pires.
We missed an opportunity to add a world class striker (and we won't be able to address that before the current window closes) and that will cost us. How much remains to be seen, but if we'd addressed that deficiency in August I'd be looking at us as favorites right now.
I see no lack of mental toughness in our current squad. In the recent past the loss of a player like Walcott would have meant the race for fourth is on. We'll miss him badly, and his injury may even cost us a place in the standings, but we won't be collapsing like a house of cards this time around.

LOL I love the horse racing theme here from my Aussie buddy. I think Arsenal still has a lot of horse this year left and we just passed the top of the straight and will shake off the other horses in the last 100 meter. I'm still waiting that Van Persie horse come from way off the pace to nick as at the wire. LOL. Van Persie is lame & wont feature much this campaign, but as long as he can get fit enough to deliver one more knife wound to Arsenal I will consider it a decent run from him ! I guess sooner or later Arsenal will shed this tag of February floppers [ just made that one up] , but this particular period is really harsh, lucky you have a couple of 'softer' games in between those big games but I still feel that by mid March the mood on here will have changed.
I am not sure which of Arsenal or Pool Utd will pip at the post, most likely Pool given Arsenals weighty points advantage but confidence is growing in billabog world that all is not lost for Utd as regards CL qualification. Moyes has started to say things that are giving me hope instead of palpitations & whilst Mata isn't the signing I was craving, it does send a message & shows Utd & Moyes can still attract players.

This squad have won games we usually draw and drawn games we usually loose. The first 11 is fantastic. Barring crazy injuries, i can see us getting through this period with decent points.

We probably have to choose between the FA cup and the CL since the Liverpool and Bayern matches are only 3 days apart. Being at home should allow Wenger to rest at least 2 players against Liverpool, even if it means crashing out of the Forgotten Alternative Cup. We can't afford to lost to Bayern to 3-1 at home anymore. We are so unlucky with draws this year it seems.

The one positive of the draw is we have a chance to knock out one of the big teams while one of Chelsea and Man City would also get eliminated leaving us closer to the cup (if we win)

Liverpool definitely have it worse, because they're playing us away. It could have been at Anfield, and it could have been at the Etihad or Stamford bridge. At home I'm confident we can beat them.
All in all not the worst draw. Just the timing isn't great because it's sandwitched between improtant league and CL matches.
