There was a time earlier this season when we couldn't get a penalty decision for us to save our lives.
I am leaving Dream to actually convince me that we get decisions this season that are comparable to City and he is doing a terrible job at it. I am not even going to talk about the decisions that go against us, the first game of the season was a travesty and that was in our stadium. I wouldn't deny maybe we have gotten some good decisions but we have also gotten some very bad ones.

What burst my bubble is the idea that what we have seen is usual. The type of calls City are getting are bordering on scandalous and coincidentally it is coming from the linesmen. I never knew the linesmen had that much influence in football. If a story comes out in future that City bribed the linesmen this season, I wouldn't be surprised. That is the extent of my paranoia right now.
You are right Phato for once. You are paranoid.

Phato, I actually think you need a little perspective here. So let's assume there is a continuum. Let's put teams on that continuum.

In the game where we played against City there was a scandalous decision on a handball by Zaballetta (stopped an Özil delightful ball reaching Walcott). Then Giroud scored but the play was pulled back for offside. That was at a stage when we could have made it 3-2 (or 2-2 if you want to be skeptical and assume we would have got one not the other). I can't say we would have held out and got a result there. But by the same token nobody should be saying City were certain to beat us at that stage. Another direct comparison is that Tiote at Newcastle scored very similar goals against us and City. The goal against us was allowed to stand, with a player standing right beside Woj. The goal he got against City was ruled out because a player was 4 yards away.

Conclusion 1: City face fewer harsh decisions than us, no ref appears to be out for them like we have 2 or 3

Yet I've seen City play Chelsea and Manure and get screwed by referees. This was mainly under Mancini. I think the last three times ManUre under Ferguson played City and won there were bad decisions on discipline and whether balls crossed lines.

Conclusion 2: don't talk of City being given favoured until they have a longer track record of favouritism. Say about 20 years worth.

Get your facts right fuckwit. Last season at Etihad Utd had a perfectly good goal chalked off for offside, Young was over a metre onside.

Phato, I know you hate City but some of your comments are ridiculous.
If his statements are "ridiculous." quote some of them and tear them apart. Otherwise, you're the one that appears "ridiculous."
Example 1) "there's nothing special about city" that quote was after the 6-3 win over Arsenal.
Let me know if you want no 2.
Hey momo, I was asking yer pal to flex his knowledge muscles when he decides to call someone ridiculous. You generally submit something to back up your statements, though just as often as not, what you submit is "ridiculous."
How about the fact that my statement was aimed at Phato and not at you.
Momo number two. It's a public forum. If you want to have private communication, I would suggest email or the US Postal Service.
so why then do you have a problem with me submitting some evidence on a public forum.

Haven't been posting as much recently but when I do read on here its apparent that JODB has just got the hots for Pizzy, Chilly & 0893 big time , he is stalking them like a crazed lunatic. I think he sees himself as the local board vigilante.

Seriously JODB, time to step down

I think this thing would drag on forever. Let's put it to bed for now and hope that from here on till the end of the season, we would see some sane officiating when City play. By the way Danny Rose red card has been rescinded by the FA. I just wonder what the linesman saw, he was perfectly positioned, there was no player blocking his vision and it happened on his side of the pitch.

Did you see any rationale behind the decision? Did they determine there was no foul or just that the goal scoring opportunity was not sufficiently obvious to warrant a send off?

The FA statement read: "Danny Rose's one-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect after the Tottenham player's wrongful dismissal claim was upheld by an Independent Regulatory Commission. Rose was dismissed in Tottenham's game against Manchester City on Wednesday for denying a goalscoring opportunity.''

I would guess the reason why it was rescinded was because it was never a foul. If it was a foul, then it is a sending off offense because it was a goal scoring opportunity. Danny Rose clearly got the ball from the side and made minimal contact with the player. I just wonder what the FA is doing to these guys making these massive mistakes.

When I first saw the tackle, I thought it was a penalty to be fair but was surprised when the referee gave a corner. However when I watched the highlight, it was clear Rose played the ball and if there was any contact, it was with Dzeko's upper body because the tackle below was perfect.

Thanks. This is interesting. Thing is, I thought it was a foul even after seeing a replay! I wonder what convinced the FA otherwise. I'm sure they had multiple looks.

I'm guessing the assistant may have to answer for something, although why Marriner accepted his call after having seen the incident (clearly and accurately, as it turns out) also requires further explanation. Of course, we'll never get it.

I don't know why the FA does not give more details in a situation like this. It's a chance to educate the fans (not to mention the players). It's not like we don't already know the referees are human, and overturning a decision made in the game underscores the fact they make mistakes. Why not let us all in on the "secret"?
