After announcing four minutes of added time the referee finally ends the Chelsea game at 96:40 after Lampard(?) misses a point blank chance. What the hell was that about?!
WHU had 1 man injured on the 90 min and played with 10 men for the remaining 6 min plus added time. That was also the reason for the added time on top of the normal 4 min

Maybe I am naive to think City are flawed if they keep winning but everyone of these games, I see them narrowly getting these away win with very contentious decisions. Some of these decisions are so questionable and it is always coming from the linesman. When I saw the offside call against Liverpool, I was stunned to see a linesman give it because the Liverpool player was miles onside. The Newcastle game was another one of those bending the rules to favor City. Today I thought it wasnt a penalty but I have to see it again. Anyway it was still a good day for Arsenal although not the rival we expected to drop points and we are temporarily dislodged from the top of the Premier League for a few days.

Thanks for the explanation even though I feel you've cheated me out of a big helping of righteous indignation.

Decent scores today given Chelsea's draw and the fact that if City had to win, at least they beat up on Spurs.

I don't think it's that difficult to understand why city are getting all the calls, what we've learnt over the past few years is that the team that puts pressure on oppositions the most gets the most calls, that's because refs are human after all, so if you keep getting yourself into situations where the ref can make a mistake then you'll get a call go your way. Man utd used to do it under fergie, they put the oppositions under pressure at old traford and keep putting balls into the box. We've got one or two calls go our way this season but we haven't got as much as city, because whenever we take the lead, we simply sit back and soak up the pressure, showing stuff of champions in the process.

We should and will go back on top after Sunday morning and hope Chelsea get something out of City next Monday night. Don't count on the latter part though.

You continue to outdo yourself. So despite going 2 or 3 goals up, we should keep throwing players forward in an attempt to fool the referee and get ourselves a penalty? Right.

You're right, though, teams who tend to attack do get more decisions like an offside in their favor or a penalty call, but it does not at all explain the decisions against Newcastle and Liverpool. They've been lucky with decisions, more than anyone else. People like to think that luck doesn't exist or these decisions balance themselves out but they don't.

Good to see two of SAFs favourite lickspittles going at each other like starved rats locked in a basement.

There's a good chance of any team with the ball in the opponents half getting decisions purely on the "contact-risk" basis. In other words the longer you have the ball far away from your goal the bigger the chance something else will happen in your favour.

It's incredible how shit refereeing has been temporarily borrowed from their near neighbours by Manchester City.
