Championship teams get more calls in their favor because... they're championship teams. And only pizzy could come up with a theory on this that, coincidentally, assails Wenger as well.
Again piz, it's been way longer than four hours, so go see a doctor ASAP.

I don't think it's that difficult to understand why city are getting all the calls, what we've learnt over the past few years is that the team that puts pressure on oppositions the most gets the most calls, that's because refs are human after all, so if you keep getting yourself into situations where the ref can make a mistake then you'll get a call go your way. Man utd used to do it under fergie, they put the oppositions under pressure at old traford and keep putting balls into the box. We've got one or two calls go our way this season but we haven't got as much as city, because whenever we take the lead, we simply sit back and soak up the pressure, showing stuff of champions in the process. Some of the decisions are happening at the other end of the pitch. How do you explain that based on your logic

Phato, I know you hate City but some of your comments are ridiculous. If his statements are "ridiculous." quote some of them and tear them apart. Otherwise, you're the one that appears "ridiculous."

If his statements are "ridiculous." quote some of them and tear them apart. Otherwise, you're the one that appears "ridiculous." This was from John Brewin of ESPN "Tottenham's attempts to grimly hang on were derailed by the intervention of linesman Scott Ledger, who disallowed a Michael Dawson goal and rubber-stamped the decision that gave City the penalty which took the game away from Spurs. Danny Rose looked to have won the ball when tackling Edin Dzeko in the area, but contact from behind caused Ledger and referee Andre Marriner to award the spot-kick and then red card the Spurs full-back." I think it is ridiculous to say my comments are ridiculous. The Newcastle decision was one of the most bizarre decisions and I am yet to see anybody that thinks it wasn't a goal. The goal that was disallowed in the Liverpool game was scandalous. I was drunk watching the game and I could see how deep that run was and it clearly wasn't offside. When we played City, we had two goals chalked off for offside that when our players were clearly in line with the city defence. I wouldn't complain because we let in 6 but let's not pretend it didn't happen. The City main weakness is their defence and it would seem they are clearly getting the rub of the green when their defence falters. There is no logical explanation except to accept at the very least that there is a very high level of incompetence from referees which unfortunately up to this point has gone in the favor of City

It's only in the pool game that Pool absolutely deserved at least a point at City. Arsenal gave a valiant effort at city but it really wasn't close in terms who was the better team on that day. City could easily have scored 10 goals against Arsenal. I watched their game against Tots today and they were far and away better than Tots, it wasn't really close. It was a miracle tots were still in the game at the half. The refs have mad mistakes no doubt, but to argue that the most talented team in the EPL who is playing the best football in the league is winning with luck is asinine.

I think the league should posthumously award a point to Chelsea today. Nobody will take issue. After all, they dominated proceedings. They deserve it.

If the only argument you can make is City were dominant then you dont have an argument at all. Decisions change games irrespective of the final result. City are a very good team as it is and if these decisions keep going their way then we might as well just hand them the title. I think the most bizarre part of this whole thing is the linesmen always seem to be involved in these decisions.

I disagreed with you saying that the team with the most talent is lucky somehow to win games. City is better than Tots and regardless of the ref's decisions, they were probably going to beat Tots. Arsenal because of tiredness was not even close to be at City's level when they played. The Liverpool goal that was overturned is still a shocker. While I think that City is the best team, I believe that Liverpool and Arsenal will have a chance to overtake them, especially Liverpool because of Suarez. City has to play at United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton. They will drop points. Arsenal, Pool and Chelsea will have chances to win the league. However with their talent and depth, City should be the odds on favorites to win the league.
