Never has so much been made about an utterly average player like Solomon Kalou. The way is name keeps popping up on this board, you would think that he's a relevant player in 2014. He's better than average. But let's be realistic not much better. He could have been more high profile had he gone to a mid-table side where he would be more likely to be a first teamer.

He reminds me of a bit like Nani. Someone that when surrounded with top players can really exploit openings but is not the type of player that you can lean on to carry your team.

Well 0893 did make the bold claim that Kalou was better than rvp. They were toying with the idea to bring him in to the dutch squad iirc but he didnt make the grade. That was so long ago and the topic should be dropped but we all know it wont. if it was around the time the dutch wanted kalou to play for them that 0893 said he was better than RVP, then the people or should I say person(bcos I only know of one) who are calling him out for that comment are stupid to say the least, because I remember Kalou was one of Europe most sought after young talent during that period, that's why Chelsea signed him in the first place. But just like a good number of youngsters Kalou didn't live up to expectation while RVP did. The way that wankstain kept bringing up the Kalou>RVP debate in every thread, one would think 0893 made that comment 2 years ago.

Brilliant,... although I don't recall him actually saying that since I think RvP was off the market having been acquired by us and besides RvP was seen more as a hot head that his true quality was somewhat overlooked due to his shenanigans.
To be fair though, I think Kalou took the wrong turn by going to Jose - his development took a beating under the defense minded Chelsea coach.

I don't even know if 0893 actually said that, I'm just going by what Santry said. And we all know honesty and truth aren't Santry biggest traits.

Considering how long RVP<Kalou went on for I'm allowed recall it. It wasn't only that time, when both played in holland. It was the year Henry left and 0893 was desperate for Kalou to come to a team where he wouldn't be in and out of the team. He generously wanted Arsenal to be the team to facilitate that, what a gent.
As for honesty and truth, I wouldn't be slinging mud boyo. We've had more than enough of your dishonest reactions under pressure to keep us laughing for the rest of the season.
